Theres a Dr O connell who comes over to the UK every 2 months to do secretin infusions not cheap though. Will post his number when I find it but I originally found it on search engine.

I believe it was looking promising for helping with digestive tract issues, but it seems to have fallen by the wayside - anyone either tried it or know more about it?

You can't actually get the stuff the first lot of kids had because they stopped making it. They then made synthetix version but study results wern;t too positive, however, many chose to continue with treatment and there were more positives over time it seems from postings onb the lists

There was a UK GP flying around the country giving IV Secrelux - another synthetic in parents back rooms and whizzing off to the next place. I spoke to some of the mums at the AiA conference in 2000 and they were seeing great things, one nearly crashed the car when the kid started talking ont he way home from the IV

Then of course he was disciplined or arrested, something about the single MMR vaccs, I forget what, anyways, then he went off to Autrailia I think, they sell it as Secrelux Nasal Spray there and say loads of pople are using it but I never found anyone who has.........................

Then came digestive enzymes, with the introduction of Serenaid (by Devin Houston BTW), Enzymeaid and then HNI, then the secretin looked expensive, bit hit and miss and because IV tricky to admimister and then it seemed to fade away.

Seen some posts recently, not sure where about doing TD Secretin, didn;t pay much attention, I'll try and recall where I saw it

I'm primarily interested because I saw some results that suggested it had helped with social and language skills.

I know of someone who had secretin infusion at the Tavistock clinic in

London (maybe that's where Dr O'Connell is?). Helped with toilet

training, but no change otherwise.

Dr McCandless said at Edinburgh that secretin is best used with

children under 3 (another boat I've missed then!)

It is probably (sadly) like lots of other treatments for autism, where

about 20-30% respond very well, 30% notice minor improvements and the

rest sees no benefits.

Hi, Joyce.

I see that Quest Diagnostics offers a radioimmunoassay for secretin.

I don't know if other labs do. I don't see it on the Labcorp site.

i have a friend who has 6 children and 2 of them are autistic. she has tried so many different treatments.
