Hi all!

I'm just a few days shy of 6 months, but thought I'd go ahead and post

anyway. LOL

My insurance has recently changed.... for those who remember my unsuccessful

battle with ODS to cover my MGB... good riddance ODS! LOL

Anyway... because of this change I was required to get a new PCP because

they don't recognise, " specialists, " as PCPs... only general practitioners.

sheesh. That's ok, though, I got my new PCP to refer me back to my

pulmonologist/board certified internist anyway, so nothing has really

changed. *lmao* I also had to get the, " new PCP, " to refer me to the liver

doc for the appointment I've had scheduled with him for months regarding my

chronically increased liver enzymes. Note: My liver enzymes were increased

prior to surgery... so this is NOT due to the MGB. (All this unnecessary

extra work... have I mentioned how much I HATE insurance companies??)

So... I went to my, " get acquainted, " appointment with the new PCP, and got

on the scales expecting to maybe to have lost 5 pounds. (I lost 8 pounds

last month, so assumed I was " slowing down. " ) The pleasant suprise was that

I'd lost 11 pounds from April 1st to April 23rd!!! My blood pressure is

finally normal!!!! 129/80!! That's a darn sight better than last year's

214/198!

The only thing I've done differently was to eat more frequently... every 3-4

hours... small, protien rich meals... rather than the standard 3 small meals

a day at 7am, noon, and 6pm. I also have re-started having one whey protein

drink a day in addition to my meals.

I know that I need new bras. LOL I've gone from a very tight 48D to a

loose 40D. My jeans have gone from tight 28W to a comfortable 20W, and

T-shirts have gone from 3XL to an XL.

Thanks for letting me crow!

My very best!

Jenn in Vancouver, WA

MGB 11-1-00 #300

81 pounds gone in just under 6 months.

No negative complications of any sort!

Positive " complications " from getting my life back very much

appriciated!!!!!!!!
