Guest guest
It's not about money at all! If it were about money we would charge more or not cover complications. Our entire staff are patients we have all been where you were and are! We would love to give itemized bills. We just cannot, we would have a legal disaster on our hands, if the hospital gives you one then they are associated with you paying them, which means the insurance company can say HEY we have a contract with you and this is what and when we to pay. It is very complicated. Why are you not angry at your insurance company? They are having to pay half of what they would with any other surgery, not to mention the most important factor that you will now lose weight and live a healthier life? Guest guest
Hey Penny, Don't waste your time trying to reason with her - she will make her own decision. I hope that is happy and that she is comfortable with her life and her decisions. It is OK for her to not agree - I just caution her on making blanket statements that are not based on facts - Dr Rutledge is a fine and dedicated MD but he is also HUMAN - flesh and blood just like all of the rest of us. Making accustations without validatin\on and documentation is libel and/or slander and is a punishable offense so please make sure of your information. Dr. Rutledge is used of people questioning his manner and practice. Dr. Rutldege DOES NOT deserve anymore false accustaions against his person or professional practice. If you don't like Dr R's practice - I guess it is better for you to look elsewhere but there are THOUSANDS of us who are staunch supporters of Dr R's (myself included) and for us - he is the best choice and OUR choice. So we would appreciate if you just move on. Dr R's staff is excellent and they don't have the time or energy to spend on arguing point of views - there are MILLIONS of morbidly obese people out there who can and will benefit from Dr R's expertise. If it is not you - please allow others to make there own decision. Guest guest
If you don't like what the doctor is doing and your not happy you should go to another dr. and have another procedure. Apparently you do not have a clue about what dr rutledge is all about and why he does what he does. Why don't you talk to the dr. personally and have him explain why he gives you a global bill. He doesn't want the hospital or the drs getting screwed by the ins cos. Before you start slandering the guy why don't you get the facts. peter tosto/chicago
