Guest guest
, It COULD be your gall bladder! Before I had mine removed, I had similiar experiences for about 6 months....they became closer and closer together until I couldn't eat without vomiting and being bent over for hours on end. I would go have an ultrasound. I would tell my Dr. that I believe I may be getting gallstones and tell him what is going on and have him recommend it, that way the Ins. Co. should pay. I would also contact Dr. R and see what he thinks.... BUT don't think it CAN'T be gallbladder! I learned the very hard way....I ended up having emergency surgery because my bile duct was blocked by a huge stone that ended up ripping my sack open and poisoning my system! Don't be hard headed like me and say " Awww, surely it's not that " cuz it just could be! HUGS and let us know when you know more! Guest guest
, call the gastro doctor and talk to him about it. It sounds like your stomach is irritated at a minimum. You may have an ulcer which would be causing the pain. You probably need medication more than anything else. BUT go to your doctor, girlie...no reason to suffer without treatment. In Pain, Need Advice Hey folks, I need some advice from you all or at least some perspective on a pain that I've been experiencing since Sunday night. I'll try to keep it breif and get to the point. I was dizzy all day Sunday so by Sunday night I knew I needed some salt and was on the road and got some salt and vinegar potato chips. I had eaten too much salad for dinner and then later that night, around midnight, did something I hadn't done since pre-surgery days. In a sleepy stupor, I had a small bowl of high fiber cereal and went to bed. 30 minutes later I was awake and knew I was going to start vomiting and made it to the bathroom just in time. Out came the salad from 6 hours earlier, the chips, the cereal, and bile. I used some Cepacol to numb the burning throat and went to bed. But ever since then, I'd had a pretty constant, steady pain in my stomach. This pain seems to be there all the time and intensifies when I eat. I have upped my dose of citrucel to 3x a day but that only eases the pain for a little while. Its not crippling pain and I haven't vomitted since then but all I've eaten is fruit, egg whites and a bit of protein powder mixed with water. I had an endoscopy less than two months ago with a diagnosis of mild gastritis. I didn't follow up after I got the results nor did the doctor seem to think I needed to. I have no idea if I should go get another endoscopy. My insurance paid for the last one without questions and paid for all of the blood work and I fear that eyebrows will start being raised. Although they would have no truly valid reason for not covering these procedures. I don't think its the gall bladder because its not as bad as what everyone describes when they get gall bladder disease. And honestly, if there is some kind of damage due to bile, I don't really want to face that yet. Does anyone remember someone posting about adhesions last summer? Does anyone know what they feel like and where the pain occurs with those? Sorry I started rambling. Any ideas? in DC _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp
Guest guest
amanda, why not go to your PCP for advice. Actually, if I eat too much, my stomach feels sore for a day or two and that may be your problem, but see your doctor. Guest guest
: You could always try some Carafate or Prevacid or Maalox to see if that helps, otherwise maybe a trip to the Dr. to see what he thinks. When I was having the burning in my stomach, Dr. R suggested I get back on the Carafate and Prevacid for 4-6 weeks Pam from land > > Hey folks, > > I need some advice from you all or at least some perspective on a pain that > I've been experiencing since Sunday night.
