A simple capsule, taken every day, was his insurance against future heart attacks, and the cayenne gave him more energy and made him feel like a new man!

I would like to read that book. I have a friend who has heart problems and it scares him. He has no medical insurance and he just does what he can when the pains come. Last month he made some very strong cayenne tincture and takes it when he feels the pain coming on and he said it takes it away. I am ordering herbs to make him a Heart tincture (hawthorne berries, etc) and will be sending that to him.

I once had a 13 yr. old dog with heart problems. I began giving her both crataegus (hawthorne) and cactus grande in homeopathic pills everyday. The vet told me she was living on borrowed time and shouldn't be alive and whatever I was doing was working and to keep it up. Lived to the ripe old age of 16.

He then went on to market cayenne, but was shut down by the authorities.....

Insane!! Was it because he was making claims that rubbed them the wrong way? You have to be careful if you use the word "cure". That's a red light for the FDA.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/offer-listing/0963283901/ref=dp_pb_a//102-6578789-3493769?condition=all Hi Just did a search, and found some second-hand copies at Amazon (URL listed above). The author of "Left for Dead" is Dick Quinn, and the book is just a paperback so I wouldn't go paying a lot for it. He also has chapters on Hawthorne, and other herbs, including the one that is supposed to help your memory (I forget what it's called!) I think your friend with the heart problems should take cayenne every day to keep those arteries cleaned out. I think I read in the above-mentioned book, that even taking the cayenne every other day isn't good enough :-( It's great that you're going to make a heart tincture for him :-) Glad to hear that the tincture worked for your dogs' heart problems! Probably much better than anything you could buy over the counter.... Oh BTW, you're spot on about why Dick Quinn got closed down by the FDA. He did advertise that cayenne could help people with heart problems and the FDA were on him like a dose of salts. (Sorry, I'm not quoting exactly because I don't have the book here). Cheers, and the K9's >I would like to read that book. I have a friend who has heart problems and it scares him. He has no medical insurance and he just does what he can when the pains come.
