Guest guest
Ap family (overseas) seeks hormone therapy funding for their lp son. I read this one fast, so I didn't grasp it fully, like, if he also needs a (real) diagnosis or only the actual treatment and his parents can't afford it, or both? One thing, he definitely needs is acceptance, because apparently in his community, due to his uniqueness, he is seen and treated as a trophy human for lack of a better descriptive. Although he is 74 cm tall or 2.43 feet (29.13 inches), and he is 18 years old, yes, you read that right, he's an adult, I can't imagine he is expected to grow that much more? But his parents are expecting, I say more like hoping in my mind, that he will be able to reach the height of 139cm or 4.575 feet in just 4 years. Maybe someone, medical and non-medical, can help him and his parents out with a better understanding of what they are both going through? http://mangalorean.com/news.php?newstype=broadcast & broadcastid=103695 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Canada's 'littlest angel'-Kenadie is doing great in school:). http://www.nugget.ca/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=1333521 -------------------------------------------------- OK, the following is just plain cute:). It's a book to read for young kids to read, small and tall. " Orange Polar Bears Don't Cry " http://www.prlog.org/10149969-orange-polar-bears-dont-cry.html and http://www.eloquentbooks.com/OrangePolarBearsDontCry.html --------------------------------------------------------- V V V V V V V V V V V YET V V V V V V V V V V ANOTHER V V V V V V V V V V ----------------------------------------------------------------- And finally in the news, an ap lady with no relationship to an lp as far as I know, Kristi Gustafson, likes to post in her blog 'common everyday people', though I use that term loosely:P, who are looking for people who are 'not' commonly seen. She does this by gleaning what she finds posted on Craigs List. I include this, as it is YET another 'looking for a lp' item, but this time with a different spin. An ap wants to meet up with an lp he saw at a Toys R Us in New Jersey. All I can say is if this is anyone on here and you are definitely considering meeting up with a 'total' stranger who just got excited from seeing you, >>>>>>>>>>>>ARE YOU SERIOUS???!!!!<<<<<<<<<<<<< I also post this as the comments left for Kristi were interesting, one is from an ap mom () of an lp, another from an lp (Name not given) who thinks it's no big deal, and an ap dad () of an lp who not only posts his comments but includes a link to a PBS website entitled, What is Dwarfism, to enlighten the other respondents to better understand dwarfism, that is written by someone I think you already know on here;). Kristi's post with comments: http://blogs.timesunion.com/kristi/?p=3717 PBS website included in one of the comments: http://www.pbs.org/pov/pov2005/bigenough/special_dwarfism_ety.html later, grady:)
