Folks, I've had this surgery twice now and benefited from the info I received

from here. I; however, feel many people are posting questions of which have

already and thoroughly been answered. This results in hundreds of postings and

added emails per month. My spamblocker even thinks this is spam.

Unfortunately, I am opting out of further notifications but I will still respond

to some of you personally if you email me directly.

That, unfortunately, is the nature of this kind of forum. Although does have some basic search functions, they are not obvious unless you use the web interface and it is generally far quicker just to ask the question again. However, as you say you can opt out of notifications completely and just sign on to to view the postings; alternatively you could do what I do and opt for the Daily Digest rather than individual emails.

Your spamblocker is probably like mine and is a bit over-sensitive to multiple emails from the same source and/or emails with large addressee lists - it's far from being an exact science.

You can change the setting here so that you no longer recieve any emails & only

have to come onto this site to read, if you wanted to.

Glad you have benefitted from this site & thanks for being a part of it.

As a newish member of this group, I am glad to hear that many questions have been asked and answered before. There is nothing wrong with that; it gives new members the opportunity to learn about this disease quickly without laboriously searching and, furthermore, as technology and techniques move on, an old question my have a more modern appropriate answer. One should never hold back on sharing knowledge. Long may it continue.

That has been the best thing about this group for us, just knowing that someone else out there is going through it right now with you! There are several of you that I would actually call friends after three years together on this group:)

Also, there are constantly new ways of doing things in medicine, and it is good to know what is currently being done. Chloe has had 14 surgeries over five years, and while the basic plan remains the same, small things change, or we learn a new way to do something.
