Guest guest
I use it everyday and it helps a ton since I have eustachian tube disfunction, but I have not been brave enough to use it on my daughter, who is the one with cholesteatoma. Guest guest
Some people have exercises they use, and I like the NeillMed Sinus rinse. I don't know why it helps, but it does. Guest guest
,I've been told my numerous ear infections, which led to my ear drum perforatation cholesteatoma are a result of eustachian tube disfunction. Like you, was also told there is nothing they can do for the disfunction. I've used the nasal rinse, and it is great if I have mucus but it doesn't help if there is no mucus to rinse out. I'm on a allergy meds, which helps some. When it is hurting or feels "full" and the yawning, blowing, or other mouth exercises don't work; I take a decongestant/pain reliever. The decongestant opens up the passages and seems to do the same for my Eustaschian tube. I've found the Aleve-D works the best and my ENT said that is fine to take as long as not too often.Good Luck,Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry®From: Sefton <seftonmichelle@...>Sender: cholesteatoma Date: Mon, 14 Mar 2011 10:43:32 -0700 (PDT)<cholesteatoma >Reply cholesteatoma Subject: Re: NeilMed Sinus Rinse I was told I have eustachian tube disfunction, but the Dr. said there is nothing they can do to fix that. Guest guest
,Thanks for the info. I am just very frustrated. My ear feels full all the time. Before surgery they said it was eustachian tube disfunction and c-toma. After they removed the c-toma it feels exactly the same except now I have severe tinitus too! And I was told I was "feeling" the difference in hearing. I'm tired of being told there is nothing we can do. This new doctor sent me for a hearing aide consult which I have today. I guess I just need to get used to having a plugged up ear- I've been dealing with this for 4 years or so- you would think I would get used to it! I will try taking a decongestant and see what that does. Thanks again! Hey there,Has anyone with Cholesteatoma surgery ever used a sinus rinse before? If so, did it affect your ear at all? Guest guest
Thank you! It seems the doctors I have been seeing don't want to prescribe anything- just live with it I guess.
