Guest guest
For those who are aware of Ning, they announced a large (20%) price increase today for their cheapest plan. This price gouging is happening less than a year after they dropped their free plans. I'd like to find out if there's been any discussion regarding a shared platform for LPA Chapter websites. I know that some chapters are using Facebook, but this ties the chapter to Facebook's platform which is limited. Some chapters were/are using Ning and a portion of these chapters dropped their sites after Ning changed to a paid model. It seems that it would be worthwhile for the National office to officially sponsor a shared platform to be used by all the chapters. It's not very cost effective for each chapter to be paying for their own membership to Ning, etc, or paying for domain registration, hosting packages, etc. I'd love to hear any feedback. -Ellen P.S. Adelaide, I'm posting this for my husband.
Guest guest
A great discussion topic for the Chapter Presidents meeting in Anaheim. I thought Ning was a good option until they started charging- plus when they did that there was not cross over between networks. > > For those who are aware of Ning, they announced a large (20%) price increase today for their cheapest plan.
