Guest guest
Dear Adelaide, living in East Tennessee I know exactly what you've been through. We've been spared the brunt of the storms here in Cumberland County, but many of our neighbors haven't been so fortunate. Now friends in Memphis are on our minds as the Mississippi rises. As long as you and yours are safe and dry, that's all any of us can ask. God has blessed so many of us with a reprieve from the worst of the storms. Thank you for letting us know you are safe (((hugs))) ~Nan~  No, Heaven will not ever be unless my cats are there to welcome me. At last!!!  First, my heartfelt apologies everyone, that my move kept me offline MUCH longer than I could have ever imagined! Oh my. If you have been following the horrendous weather here in the south the past three weeks, you will understand why. Two weekends ago, prior to the day of tornadoes on 27 APR, we were getting some of the worse torrential rain on record. In just that ONE day, this area received four inches! My moving truck got stuck in the mud...TWICE. The roads we needed had to be closed due to high water. When we FINALLY got to my new place, the storms became so fierce, we couldn't unload the truck. At last, we did. As some of you know, I survived the tornado which tore through Louisville, Kentucky, in one of the 200 plus tornadoes on 3 APR 1974. Never did we ever think there could be a WORSE, more deadly day of tornadoes again, in our lifetimes. Only there was, with Alabama getting hit beyond belief. There were tornadoes here too, that day, and three times the weather announcer strongly advised residents here to take cover immediately, as the tornado sirens went off the same time. I held on in my bathtub and prayed. For the past two weeks, and currently, we are dealing with horrendous flooding, but at least I am fine, and dry...yet many, MANY are not in this region, and throughout the south. Unfortunately, all this bad weather and flooding, did a HUGE number on phone lines in my area, and so it has taken me THIS long to finally have the lines repaired TO my new place, and then IN my new place. And I am FINALLY back online again!!! I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused any of you, and will be sorting out our messages and catching up, getting us all back on track again. Please bear with me. I sincerely hope all of you are doing all right, and SO look forward to catching up with you in the days ahead. I am here if you need me. Thank you, and take care, Adelaide, Moderator Dwarfism Group
