Guest guest
True Story That Happen Today: It Tuesday morning and it's my day off from work so I thought I would treat myself for a pedicure and then get gas before the price get even higher this week. So, I stopped by the salon which I have never been to this salon before and saw that they had a great deal for pedicures. So I entered the place and I was greeted with one of the owners I assume. He asked what I wanted so he said ok we will be with you while we set up and go ahead a pick a color for my nails. A women assisted me while choosing a color when all of a sudden I heard a man say... " Excuse me ma'mam.. " And repeated that twice thinking he was addressing that to the women next to me. Then women looked at me and signaled to me with her eyes that this guy was wanting my attention? I turned around and standing in the middle of the salon was a tall black man looking very enthusiastic about something as he looked at me. Then I calmly said yes? Keep in mind I never met this man in my life! He said for all to hear " I have never seen a Little Person in real life! And I was wondering if I could take a photo of YOU! to show to my wife. " I looked him dead in the eye's and said softly I would prefer if you did not take at photo of me thank you. This 6 footer of a guy fortuantely left the salon leaving people's with mouths dropped to the floor while everyone one was in utter disblief w/ what just took place. Women looking at me not knowing what to say or do? The girl who was doing my pedi told me she heard him while she was in the washroom in the very back of the place and couldn't believe how RUDE he was. Personally, yeah it wasn't cool what that guy did and my internal thinking was on over drive for a second or 2. But unfortunately it goes with the territory and I have found that over the years I have become immune by most of it. I could of said you can take a photo for $5 grand. Trust me I thought of things to say to him that made my mind go a mile a minute. But I didn't I resisted this time. Yes people another day in a Little Slice of LP Life... Cheers!
