My surgery is also scheduled for Feb 3rd, we'll have to compare recoveries. If

you google " cwu vs cwd " and " middle ear fossa approach " you'll find lots of good

information, but stay away from wikipedia. My doctor is not sure what he will

find (I've had so many previous surgeries) so the outcome may vary. Will you

have a hospital stay? I can't believe that this is outpatient.

I feel there is lot of controversy about CWD or CWU

Many surgeons in India believe

CWU- If C T-ma limited to ATTIC part

CWD- If C Toma posterior superior region.

I also agree with them,as in posterior superior C-Tome the sac buried deep in various recesses on back wall of middle ear, from where it is difficult to take it our completely

Good luck
