Guest guest
Brad,Don't worry about asking questions. That is what this group is here for. I believe it is different for everyone. I was off work almost 6 weeks last year after my surgery. But I had one surgery (emergency for abscess) then 3 weeks later had another one. I have a friend who went back after 10 days off work. I would definitely suggest taking at least 8 days. I think the doc. wants me to take 8 days off. Does this sound right. I thought it would be less than that. If I have a 8 beautiful days off work that would be great. The bright side. Guest guest
With surgery # 1 I had it done on a Thursday and was back to work on the following Wednesday(although in hindsight I probably should've taken another day or two. I had just started a new job and didn't want to miss too much. Surgery #2 was on a Wednesday and I was back to work the following Monday. This one was much quicker recovery though since they did not need to make an incision behind my ear and they did all of the work through my ear canal. I would plan on at least one full week to be sure. But, it also depends on the nature of your work. I sit at a desk so it was easier for me to come to work and just take it easy. If you are a construction worker or a mover you'd probably need quite a bit of extra time. Guest guest
Chloe doesn't work, since she is eight:), but we had this done the week before kindergarten graduation when she was younger, and she was fine to participate and say her little part about eight days post op. Usually, I am holding her back by day two.
