Guest guest
Hi Adelaide, Thank you for your concern. I do live in New Zealand, but not near the Earthquake zone. Carol Carr is from Christchurch, and I've heard she is safe - not sure about her house or anything else though. Not all of our members have internet either, so there's some that I personally don't know about but I've asked. This was the second major earthquake in less than 6 months, and the people of Christchurch are very traumatised and frightened. If you are interested you can see some of the earthquakes here: www.geonet.org.nz - recent quakes will list the last 30. For news, www.stuff.co.nz or TV3, or the New Zealand Herald will all give you information and pics.... It's a very scary time for everyone, as NZ is a small Country and here, most people will know someone that knows someone that lives there and is affected... Guest guest
Thank you, Caela, for your messages. It was indeed a blessing, and a relief, to hear from you, as I was concerned. I am a BBC addict, so have been following the news with a sense of sorrow. I do hope all our LP connections are safe, if living in that area. As the NZ Prime Minister said, NZ is such a small country anyway, no matter WHERE one resides in NZ, one is touched by the loss...and the many acts of kindness and heroism too. Thank you again, Caela. Take care, Adelaide In a message dated 2/23/11 1:51:17 P.M. Pacific Standard Time, caela@... writes: Hi Adelaide, Thank you for your concern.
