Guest guest
Well spoken Bashum:-) The magic word is " PRIDE " !!!!!!!!! That, is the difference! The majority of us DO walk with pride within our respective communities. We earn that pride and the right to BE proud by the positive contribution we make to our society. It is only when we view the media, the world of entertainment, that we see that our community is so drastically split. The irony is, each has its respective rights and each must have those rights respected. It is just unfortunate that they are at odds with each others aims and aspirations. Maybe it is not the two aspects of our community which are at fault, but society, which doesn't seem to be able to differentiate between the two? Fred The " difference " It is highly unlikely she will grow much taller than she is now. And yet, " society " views her with pride as a world champion athlete...as opposed to how we tend to be viewed. I was just curious if anyone else happened to notice this, and what your thoughts were. Hopefully the day will come when WE too, are viewed no differently than anyone else...champion athlete or not. Adelaide
