Guest guest
My name is miryan my daughter is 6 and has achondroplasia. She is now noticing the difference that she is smaller. She tells me she wants to be big like the others.. It breaks my heart because I'm also adapting to this and sometimes I don't know what to say. I tell her everybody is different some big big and some small. I tell her there is nothing you can't do only you need a little help. please if anyone has advise it would be truly be appreciated. thank you for your time.. Guest guest
Hi Miryan - your best bet is to join the Parents of Little People groups on (parentsoflittlepeople2) or on Facebook (search for POLP on Facebook under groups) - both are great places to connect with other parents who either have already been where you are, or are in the same boat as you right now. I can't offer much advice yet since Caitlin is only 4 and isn't asking any questions yet, although when she does she has lots of peer and adult LP examples to look to. My best advice would be to find your local chapter of the LPA and find some people with dwarfism that she can look up to so she can know how good her life can be! Good luck :-) Mike Mallinson, Designer M Factor Lighting Lighting Design and Event Technology 661.50.LUMEN office Sent from my phone - please excuse the fat fingers On Aug 31, 2011 7:35 PM, " miryan carbajal " <littlechubette@...> wrote: > My name is miryan my daughter is 6 and has achondroplasia.
