I didn't have a small baby postop ... but I did have a small first

baby. My oldest son weighed only 4 lb. 15 oz. - was a " Michelin man "

by the time he was 4 months old, went through a period of " slims " and

now is borderline overweight at 11. He was perfectly healthy .. just

small. Don't worry!

Hello Jenn, and congrats on the baby! I had two really big babies

pre-MGB, my first daughter was 9 lbs. 7 oz. and my son two years later

was 10 lbs. 11 oz. (mercifully, born via c-section). They're 13 and

11 now. I had the MBG in July 2000, lost nearly 100 pounds but didn't

get really thin like so many of you lucky ones. Still, 100 pounds is

100 pounds, so I'm not complaining, and I have the added blessing of

being able to eat pretty much whatever I want and not have to worry

about putting it back on (knocking on wood here.)

Anyway, my husband and I finally got around to planning our third baby

a few years ago, and my daughter Ashton was born last June, weighing

in at a much smaller 6 lbs. 14 ounces, and absolutely perfectly

healthy (in fact, she's now 9 months old and has never been sick, not

one single time!) She seemed like such a peanut compared to how big

her brother and sister were! I loved it, finally having a baby who

actually wears 9 month clothes when she's 9 months old. I'm

convinced the MGB contributed somehow, I guess I'll get to test my

theory out when Ashton's little sister is born THIS June (NOT planned,

and ladies, be sure and take my advice here--despite what " they " say,

you really CAN get pregnant even when you're exclusively

breastfeeding, lol...) SO, there are nearly 11 years between babies 2

and 3, and there will be just barely 12 months between 3 and 4. Oh

well, everything happens for a reason. :)

Don't give it alot of worry, even if a little on the small side, the

important thing is that the baby's healthy, and I will most certainly

keep my fingers crossed that your little guy or girl will be healthy

as a horse!

Hey Liz ... ask them if we can literally fill the audience with MGB

patients! I don't necessarily want to be on camera .. but wouldn't

it be great if we could fill the entire audience!
