I hate to mention this on this list as I can hear all the moaning and groaning from all of the vegans but here it is: (first putting on my flame suit)

The best source of Vitamin D is CLO - Cod Liver Oil. I can remember from my childhood having to take a teaspoon of CLO every morning with an orange slice chaser. It was so icky tasting but that is because most CLO you buy is rancid to begin with. I finally found a CLO that actually tastes good - here it is and I look forward to it every day in the wintertime when there is minimal exposure to sunshine. www.nordicnaturals.com Their Arctic CLO is great tasting and does come in flavors of lemon/orange. I found this product from my chiropractor and it really works.
