It is from a local organic farm, so it is definitely organic. I'll have to ask her if it is GMO free, but I'm sure it is. I don't overdo soy, but find it a preferable protein source than meat considering with my hypoglycemia I need to have protein with each meal.

Hi Myra,

I am not a big fan of soy beans. Is this soy bean GMO free? Organic? Can

the farmer prove it? Otherwise I would leave it alone. Just my personal

choice. The benefits of soya are being found to be not so beneficial

even by the medical profession. So there is great controversy here and

with most soy crops being GMO nowdays it is probably best to stay away

from soy. There are other ways to achieve the benefits attributed to soy

without using soy.

Peace be with you.

Hi Myra.

Yes, soy beans are a preferrable source of protein over meat. However,

all vegetables, fruits, legumes and grains contain protein. Quinoa is a

complete protein. All vegetable (this means plant derived) proteins are

easier for the body to digest and utilize than animal protein.

I don't think it is you need to have protein with each meal as much as

you need to start balancing your pancreas and helping it to rebuild,

repair and heal. This will take care of a lot of your problems. Just my

opinion though.

Do check and make sure that the soy you are using is GMO free. Then by

all means enjoy it but in moderation only.
