Guest guest
Hi , Please let me know what your questions are and I'll see what I can do to point you in the direction of good information to look over. I help people find scientific information for a living, so I should be able to help a bit. I also have the view of someone who has been through the surgery, but as the years have passed I seem to remembering less and less about the particulars (and I'm sure things have changed a bit). Others will have more recent experience with the operation. We're also fortunate to have a couple of doctors that chime in from time to time. If you're looking for good general information, I'd start with Medline Plus - it's the online encyclopedia maintained by the National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes for Health. It's down-to-earth and geared for the general public. See: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001050.htm I'd also try simply searching for cholesteatoma at: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ There are some good results that crop up with just a search of " cholesteatoma " (without the quotes). Plus, it only links to stuff that has been vetted by the folks at NLM/NIH, so you don't have to wallow around with a bunch of goofy stuff. I hope this helps a bit.
