Guest guest
Thanks Eileen and Liz!! I went to the grocery store today and I was in the soup aisle looking at the broths and nothing sounded appealing to me. But also I have tried some soups and they are so salty. So Eileen, You mentioned onion and leek (I dont know about Leek, It sounds too close to leach??) So how do you make an onion broth?? What is the liquid?? Water?? I need to start getting prepared also!! Thank You, Tammy I.

Guest guest
, I'm sort of new and haven't been banded yet (scheduled for 4/22). I don't see why we can't share support for each other regardless of who performs our initial procedure. It often sounds like a Dr. Aceves fan club here, but more than anything people are offering their support, sharing experiences, trading recipes. BTW, no I haven't heard of your surgeon. Where is he/she located? PhyllisM M <ibelieveinlove2001@...> wrote: Are bandsters from other doctors not welcome here? Guest guest
I did the same thing, Pretty much....I make a heck of a soup....chicken and also Beef......froze the broth in containers......and since I live alone, I put the meat and the veggies etc....into the food chopper and purreed (spelling) the heck out of it...and put it in containers in the freezer .......for the mushy weeks that are coming up..... Blizadeltastar <airbart@...> wrote: Hi Elieen,That's exactly what I did. I made a great (low salt) pot of chicken broth and then pulled out all the bones and shredded the chicken. I put it along with the veggies in ziplock freezer bag and froze it. 8 weeks later we had the best chicken enchiladas I've ever had.!LizIn , "Eileen" <eileenrpr@...> wrote:>> Hello everyone:> I am hearing about the broth getting unbearable to eat. Guest guest
Hello M M, I think anyone is welcome here! We all seem to be a pretty freindly bunch. I havent been banded yet (4/27/06) but am looking forward to it. I read in another email that you were being banded with Dr. Kuri? He was one of the other Doctors that I had looked into also. I think there is a couple more too. For me my decision to choose Dr Acevas was from my initial response from after I had went online to request information regarding the lap band. Dr Kuri's office did send me something but I felt so comfortable with from Dr A's office that I never gave another Dr a second thought. I also started to talk to everyone here and knew this was the place I needed to be. Just thought I would say Hi and I don't think anyone intentionally was trying to ignore you. So---- Welcome!!! Tammy I.
