Guest guest
Hi , You don’t say what kind of medication he is on for acid reflux, but I am assuming some kind of acid-killing pill, like “the little purple pill”, or whatever. The problem with that type of medication is that it kills the acid in your stomach. Your body needs acid to digest your food. That’s your last try to digest your food, which starts in your mouth. Apparently his diet is terrible, he’s eating all cooked and processed foods that have no enzymes in them. If he is not willing to change his diet, I would suggest plant-based food enzymes, and if he just wants something to “settle his stomach”, this is good - http://tinyurl.com/h2al - it’s a product that will help keep food down – it puts a protective buffer on the top of your stomach contents to keep everything down and prevents it from seeping back up into the esophagus. It also has enzymes in it which help break down the food. I guess that would be the simplest thing, if he’s not willing to change anything he’s doing to prevent it in the first place. Carol From: " randasmommy2003 " <randasmommy2003@...> Subject: Acid Reflux Hello, My husbands boss knows we are in to herbal/natural remedies and asked me to help him out with his stomach pain. He has acid reflux and is on medication for it. Also, he says that in the mornings he can't take down anything, not even water, with out running to the bathroom (not nausea). I'm stumped. I know that changing eating habits would most likely help, but I think he is looking for something to soothe his stomach. He said he would try ANYTHING. Any and all advice will be welcomed.
