Guest guest
I just ate a watercress sandwich and started wondering if they are just a big deal around here or if they are something everyone eats all over the country. Watercress and dandelion are real popular edibles right now in PA Dutch country and so are watercress sandwiches. They have another old time favorite....radish sandwiches. When I first moved here I couldn't understand the fuss, but I made one and got hooked. Two slices of bread (you can add a little mayo or olive oil or Vegenaise or something) and lots of thinly sliced red radishes, nothing else. Very crunchy. Doesn't sound like much but I love them!
