Guest guest
Hi Terri, In my opinion, most diseases (note I said " most " , not " all " ) - are caused by a diet deficient in nutrients (or that your body can't absorb the nutrients you are consuming because of bowel impactment) - death begins in the colon. (Remember when Wayne died - they found 48 pounds of impacted " junk " in there - no wonder he died). I would suggest a change in your diet, and you're right - it takes more time to do it, then to just grab a bag of chips and soda. But in the long run, it will be worth it because you will begin to feel better. The main things I would suggest would be to eliminate sugar, dairy, flour, and processed salt. Add plant-based enzymes and probiotics - which will help you digest and assimilate your food. Keep carrot, celery sticks, bell peppers, etc. in the refrig cut up ready for snacking. If you have the money ($500, more or less) get a Vita Mix, which unlike a juicer, will give you " total juice " (it keeps the fiber in, which is so good for you). But anyway, I guess I'll take the big plunge and see what suggestions/helps you all have for me.
Guest guest
Welcome to the group. The most important thing I can tell you is, don't panic. Go to http://www.liverdisease.com/Hepatitis C.html and read as much information about HCV as you can. Right now your very upset and confused. The website above will help you understand how you get the virus and how to prevent giving it to others. The more information you have the better you'll feel. I have had this disease for 30+ years and even though I'm having a hard time right now, I've been living a pretty good life. I too have to travel a couple hours to see a doctor. Get an appointment as soon as possible and find out the details of your virus. Find out how your liver is doing, what your 'viral load' is and what geno-type of the virus you have. This information will give you the tools to better understand what's going on. Please feel free to email me anytime. Kim ma53or <ma53or@...> wrote: I have been newly diagnosed with hepatitis c. I have been referred to a physician in Houst, 2 hours away from where I live. I don't knwo what to ask or what to say. My head is still spinning from the news. I do know I need help from others who are going through similar situations. My understanding of the disease is that normally it is transmitted by blood transfusions, (I have had none) or by needle use, (I have never used). Another option is through multiple sex partners. I have always had a sex partner, and it seems I may have contracted hepatitis in this way. WOW. I can only blame myself. I just want to talk it out with others. Thanks for your response and support. --------------------------------- gets better. Check out the new email design. Plus there’s much more to come.
