Limb Lengthening - achondroplasia - positive experience

If you are interested in lengthening, particularly for achondroplasia, and would

like to follow a teenager going through it now feel free to visit

She is 17, scheduled for frame removal in mid-March and having a very good

experience all around. This is her first lengthening and she has gained a full 6

inches and is thrilled with the results.

It was her self-confidence and assertiveness that allowed her the drive to make

this decision on her own. Although we had always let her know that this was a

possibility, she found this particular doctor completely on her own through TV

and the internet.

It is quite clear that some people don't agree with her decision but if you are
