Guest guest
This was very briefly mentioned here a few months ago, and I think it is a discussion topic worth focusing on in more depth...do you think SOME of the LP reality shows, YouTube, etc., have become too numerous? Do you think that perhaps a line is being blurred? That MAYBE the dignity which has enabled viewers to see us with a whole new sense of respectability and normality, is slowly being lost somewhere just because we may improve ratings and are viewed more as objects of ridicule instead? Now then, this is NOT to be critical of anyone or of any specific reality shows, other shows, or video clips. Personally, I have felt proud to be represented by the very brave souls allowing their lives TO be filmed! Not to exclude the fine actors we have these days! As a child LONG ago, I had the Munchkins and the excellent Dunn (of Wild, Wild West fame) as the only other LP's I ever got to see. Then came the Fantasy Island actor. We really have come far, yet we have such a painfully long way to go. Technology seems to have given people whole new ways now to be invasive and to ridicule us. The excellent scenario Casey suggested and " What Would You Do " then presented, sure showed this. But what are your thoughts on the amount of reality shows, etc.? Do you think the lines are beginning to be blurred a bit in how we are being perceived? Is this even an issue we should be concerned about? And if so, is there anything we can do? Please keep in mind we all have different views...be kind in presenting them. Adelaide
