> My name is April,

Hi, April. I like that name - reminds me of the Teenage Mutant Ninja

Turtles, movies & toys from my kid's childhood and soon to make a

reappearance on tv next season.

>Then my crazy new husband traveled through TN and found he really liked it

here and moved us down!

A few years back we moved from NJ to FL, then 10 months later moved *back*

to NJ when hubby discovered he really didn't like Florida, afterall. Moving

within 10 minutes of my father didn't help matters, either. Now that we're

1200 miles away again things are fine.

> My husband is both a national air talent with his main audiences having

been in Phoenix, San ,

What's this, like the Blue Angels troupe?

>He is also an incredible cook and is in restaurant management.

One of our MIA members, , owns a restaurant.

> I am currently a working at home mom... I sell Usborne books for kids...

I *love* those books and used them extensively when we homeschooled. In

fact, just last week I brought out the one on learning to play a recorder

and played around with it for a while. I kept them all, hopefully to pass

down to a future daughter-in-law who I hope will homeschool *their* kids

like my son was homeschooled.

> It has been a great pleasure getting to know all of you, and I look

forward to getting to know you more!

Same here. Welcome to the group.

Hi April! Welcome to the group. It sounds like you have a really busy

life. I am not certain what an air personality is...I'm torn between

radio announcer and angel......lol Looking forward to getting to know

you better.

Okay, I know I have been really bad for not staying in touch here....

Pleweeaase forgive me? I couldnt get to any scales to weigh in at the end of

last month's goal, and it seems I just let this month go, and didnt try at all.

I figured I didnt make any progress any way, so why bother. I know it was a

bad attitude, but I am over and I am back and determined to make a dent in this

body of mine in all the right places :-)

I got a chance to weigh in, and I didnt gain, as I had feared. I have lost. 2

lbs. But still a loss.

Now I can write... 288/286/200 My goal is to be down to 200 by Sept 1. I

know I have a whole lot less time now to do it, so I have to get serious. I

can't afford to take time off for the holidays, so here I go. Wish me fortitude

to stick to it.

So, I am trying to get caught up now.....

Back to my intro...

, I am from Maine, born and raised... :-)

Sue, no an air talent is not a Blue Angels troupe lol Nothing as all fancy as

that. He is a Radio man. He does voices, he does commercials, he does shows, he

is hot, he is sexy and he is gooooooooooood!!!! *bright smiles*

Deb, I am outside Nashville too! Murfreesboro! *S* It is nice to know there

is someone so nearby!

Have a great day ladies!

Love and blessings,

April

- welcome to the family! My name is , 48, live in wisconsin, have

been divorced for more years than I can remember. I started the FM program

in May 2002 and have lost 68 pounds so far. Am at about the half way mark

with another 70-80 pounds to go. The program works!

You and hubby doing this together is a great idea! Blast Off week can be

hard, no doubt about that. But you have the tools and will figure this out

in no time.

My advice in getting started would be to make sure to measure and weigh your

foods, drink lots of water and slowly start adding exercise to your life!

Exercise (that nasty little thing) is making a BIG difference for me!

Be sure to ask if you have questions - we are all more than willing to help!

Good luck to you and Hubby!

That's nice that you are doing it together. Should make it easier.

Tina,

What an interesting introduction. Thank you so much for all the effort you made

to send it to us. It does help when we know a little about our members and if

there were room somewhere, I'd start a database so that different members could

tell about themselves there. Unfortunately, we don't have that option as the

database section only gives us a small amount of space.

I admire your strength. You have a courageous and fighting spirit and I am sure

you will be very successful with your CI. I am going to look forward to the

day when you have been implanted and activated because it will be a wonderful

day for you and another miracle to share on our list.

Hi . Actually, the surgery I am thinking about is something else not for the

CI but I am still interested in how people do with it and if I do need it,

it won't be hopefully for many years. Right now my loss has to do with the

bones in the middle ear and I am not a candidate but my dad may be and if so

and he actually does it, I hope he has the good results I keep reading about

on here.

I'm new here and wanted to jump in and introduce myself.

I'm Nan, from Crossville, TN and I'm living with the love of my life,

, who is a little person. Both he and his mother are

achondroplasiac. He is 4'2 " and she is 3'8 " . They are the only

little people in their family.

is the first little person I have ever known (offline) and I

have this voracious appetite to learn all I can about dwarfism so I

can understand better what life is like for him.

I am short by society's standards so I know how the world is designed

for the 5'6 " and taller group, especially in the stores and

workplace. I also know the frustrations that go with short stature,

but I'm quickly learning the frustrations run much deeper for

than for me.

There are also the physical issues he deals with that I am struggling

to learn about. Sometimes it's frightening and I don't know where to

turn for answers. That's why I'm here. I just need someone to talk

to who will help me when I'm at a loss to help , and maybe need

some support because I'm giving all my support to him and have none

left for myself.

Thank you for letting me join, and I'm sorry this is so long and

silly.

(((hugs)))

~Nan~
