Guest guest
Well went to WW and weighed in at 182.4 I am back to where I was after turkey day so now I need to get back to where I was before turkey day and keep on track. Last year I could not get out of the 190s and now it is the 180s so this is my goal for the month of Jan. so ladies help me keep on track. You gals are such a great support. Sheri in va beach sw 256.4 cw182.4 gw 145 I may think 150 now I do not want to be to thin and I weighed that when I got married and worn a size 7 You sound very motivated! Best wishes! How tall are you? I would love to be in the low 180's; I seem to be stuck bouncing around 198-202. I have been thinking about my goal too. I set it for 160, but my quack said it should be 145. I think I would probably look anorexic at that weight. So, for now I have left it at 160 and will re-evaluate after I get there. He said that as a woman, you get 100 lbs for the first 5 feet and 5 lbs for every inch after that. I don't see how that could possibly take in bone and muscle mass. I mean I have friends who weigh the same amount I do and yet are still in the higher plus sizes. I hate standardized one-size-fits-all weight goals and plans! Guest guest
Congrats to everyone who has lost. Doesn't it feel great. I just went in to see when I last posted my weight and was surprised it was back in October. Time sure flies by. I have lost a total since I started of 34.5 pounds. Now that feels great. I am now down to 244.5. So now my mini goal is to get to 240 by the end of Feb. I seem to have the same problem as everyone else and that is getting in all my water or even half. I really need to work on that . So good luck to everyone. I know I haven't posted much lately but I do keep up with most of everything that is going on. And welcome to the new girls on here. It is a great place for support. in NY---where the sun has melted all the ice from my deck---even in the high 20's it seems so warm in the sun. Re: Weigh In congrats maryann keep up the great work. Fantastic start! > I am finding figuring points easier than the foodmover. > BUT find myself still referring to the foodmover Hopefully you're using the FoodMover to make sure your points are well distributed, encompassing all the food groups, and that you're not just using all your points on one particular food group. Guest guest
you're doing great!!! can you get more water down? I know you're floating now but see if you get a bit more in. sounds like you got a good game plane. I've stayed under 1800 today not quite balanced but at least at calorie! and that's a challenge! Weigh In Hi everyone, Just weighing in. I lost 2 pounds this week. I wanted to lose more, but I havent been exercising as much as I should, so i guess that is okay. I have been downing 64 ounces of water eveyday. I have stopped drinking soda and cut back on juice and using crystal light instead. Also I am trying to stop eating as much at meals, and not go back for seconds, lol. I still have a long ways to go, but I am trying to do what will help me keep the weight off for a long period of time, and not temporarily like in the past. Guest guest
> Stayed the same. That's good, considering you're snowed in with any goodies that are around the house. >Shoveled a ton more than I > normally would. I feel a tad better. All the exercise is gonna make you BUFF! Or at least build up those biceps to make opening jars a bit easier! > Allegra is cheaper and I will try it for a month and see. Did you allergy-proof your home - deep cleaning the rugs & drapes, keep the blinds dusted, wet mop the floors, get an air filter, cover the mattress, pillows & springs with allergy-proof covers, spray the rugs & upholstered furniture with anti-dust mite spray, etc? All those little things will work wonders, especially when allergies are so sensitive just one dust bunny under bed will keep your rom sleeping for weeks with a stuffy nose. And check the humidity in the house, especially the bedroom. It should be between 30 - 50%. Anything lower than that and your sinuses swell. Get yourself one of those electronic cool mist humidifiers for the bedroom with a built-in air filter to catch the micro-fine particles. I *would* suggest the much cheaper old-fashioned steam vaporizers, but not with 2 little girls around the house - way too dangerous in case they accidentally come too close to the hot steam being emitted. > Tossed a few things. I am on a decluttering mission. Stay away from here - I *like* my stuff just where it is! >I hate the snow but it is nice to have a slow snow day. We warmed up a bit here yesterday (We hit 33!) and the snow and ice softened enough that I could make a path to the driver's side door of each car and clear a space by the tailpipes. I was wet and sore, but at least I was able to warm each car up, and will probably be going out there each day, or at least every other day, to do so until we get rid of this junk. Was this the official WW weigh-in or still on your home scale? >FRENCH FRIES. Both grease and salt. > Key is just dont have them. PERIOD... Or make oven fries at home. They won't taste quite the same as a fast-food fry, but it'll certainly satisfy that potato urge. Try making both regular Russet potatoes and sweet potatoes for a different taste treat. I am not to surprised I > had a binge this week. FRENCH FRIES. Key is just dont have them. PERIOD... French fries are evil little bastards. I did good on Monday and only had 3 of Vonn's. At playgroup last Friday I didn't have any of Vonn's because the kids were all sitting at a table together and the moms were at a different table. Good luck getting below 230. Sigh. We were both struggling for a while there and then you started kicking butt and I was still struggling. Now it sounds like we're both doing ok. Cool. I felt like that all fall. Looking back I think I was depressed. I feel much better now with exercise. Also I started taking Omega 3,6,9 fatty acid supplement since I read that it helps kids with ADD. Not sure if it helps but I feel so much better so I'll keep it up. Gotta get on that treadmill after I take Vonn to school. I haven't gotten aerobic exerise since Saturday although I've done 2 days of strength training exercises. Girl Scout cookies are in the house. You're doing great! > I'm relieved that I didn't gain weight this week after screwing up on Friday Remember, calorie usage is not an exact science. As long as your calories average out to be around where you want them to be, one day with a little more and one day won't be hazardous. It's when that one day stretches out to 2 or three or more when you have to start worrying. > I have an earache today that is getting me down. I'll see how it feels in > the morning. Hi Jana, Wow! Can I relate to this! My husband always made belittling comments about how fat I was. I went from over 320 and got down to 155 and my husband constantly complained about how much I exercised. Complained because I had to exercise everyday, why can't I take a few days off, etc. Complained because we did'nt have sweets & candy in the house and was telling our family & friends that I was starving him. Its not like it would hurt him to loose a little anyway, he gained about 40 pounds since we got married (15 years ago). When I noticed I was starting to gain back about 10 pounds and went to weight watchers to try to get it under control he complained that I did'nt need to be going to weight watchers. Here we are 7 years later and I have gained just about all of it back and am GOING to loose it all again. Only difference is he is no longer in my life. Keep up the great work!
