Guest guest
I am 1 day (almost here) post-op and feel pretty good. They did surgery through my ear canal rather than behind it. They were going in to remove the new growth ctoma and then were planning on going behind the ear to possibly reconstruct the bones lost in my previous battle with ctoma and because I tested positive for MRSA prior to surgery to reduce risk of serious infection they just removed the new growth. I am OK with that I have gotten used to not hearing out of that ear and for me...hearing is less of a priority than having my ear safe at this point. We will see what the future holds and if I want to go through surgery again since I am not fond of medical procedures. They numbed my arm before putting the IV in and what a difference that made. I didn't feel a thing!!
