Guest guest
Great replies ladies, thank you! Bill, I guess I never really thought of it as bigotry, but now that you said that, it is an eye opener. Martha, I agree with you, I too have felt at conferences that I was the " wrong type " of LP. It seemed a lot of achon guys want the flat board abs achon woman, while I'm a non-flat board abs pseudo lol. Honestly, if an lp guy or girl, is THAT picky, then that is someone I wouldn't want a relationship with anyways. Over the years as I've become older, I realize the characteristics that are important, and height is such a superficial one. In the age of divorces, etc, I want something that will last. It can be hard as well with all of my female friends getting married, having kids, uncles telling me the older I get, the less my chance of marriage will be, and lastly feeling the window of having kids slowly closing. I'm just afraid because I feel stuck, and my dream of becoming a wife and mom won't happen. Yes yes it happens when you least expect it, lol, got it. It's just a real fear for me. How do you LP men feel?? How do you LP men feel about LP women? How is it like for you?? -
Guest guest
Just remember, when you are finished with y, Lin wants him:-) Fred marry your own kind? What is your " kind? " Great topic! When I first joined LPA some 28 year ago or so, I unfortunately got the impression that in the LP community it was felt that we should " stick to our own kind. " It was one of many reasons I've never really warmed up to LPA. What was most dismaying is that although I'm not repulsive, LP guys would barely look at me - I got the feeling I was the wrong " type " of dwarf. So, I never dated any LP guys and I ended up dating AP guys and eventually met and married a " biggie. " But you know what? He is " one of my own kind. " We share the same values and he is kind, gentle, brilliant, funny and just plain good. And from the time we started keeping company everybody said to us " you two are so perfect for each other! " and " when are you getting married? " I think it was because of who we were inside - not our outside construction. And we have friends who tell us " I want to have the kind of relationship you two have. " Our marriage was made in heaven, not in the body shop. The best you can do with the " willfully stupid " is pity them. Everybody have a wonderful holiday season! -marty (the lady one)
