Should I get an adjustment? Need advice.

I'm confused here and I need advice. I went out to dinner on Tuesday with my best friend. I ordered a Taco Salad at Denny's and when the plate arrived I knew I was going to have to leave most of it. Before my salad though, I had a cup of chicken noodle soup cause it's been freezing around here. Well....as I was eating and chatting with Yoly my best friend, I managed to pack away almost more than half of what was on my salad plate and all of my soup before the salad when I said to her, I'm eating more than I should. There is no way I would normally eat this much! Even though I was still hungry, I pushed away at the food. I didn't even drink with the meal (except for the soup before the salad) so I couldn't understand. A few minutes afterwards, I did feel the full sensation, or actually, the satisfied sensation. I would have polished off my food if I let myself though. I don't remember eating that much lately. So, I'm thinking that maybe it's time for a smidgen of an adjustment. However, here's my dilema. If I eat too fast I still get stuck. Should I get an adjustment? Do I wait to see if I swell up again with my PMS which should happen shortly? Some things give me heartburn or it seems like heartburn when I eat them so I stay away from them. But otherwise, I'm pretty much able to eat anything except most bread products in any form (toasted or not toasted). The numbers of the scale don't budge still, but I'm practically melting in inches. Already size 18 is beginning to feel very comfortable, not loose, just comfortable. I don't understand how I cannot be losing weight in pounds yet be shrinking...I'm not even excercising. Well, I do run around the university all freaking day long and I go up and down 3 flights of stairs at least 5 times a day to go back and forth from my office (no elevator, lucky, huh?) so I guess that's my excercise.
