Guest guest
- thanks for posting the site. I think I will look into this hand cycle as well. Although I will wait til you receive yours and you can tell me if it fits you or not. I have been wanting something like that. Also, 1400 calories seems like a lot. People of our size can MAINTAIN weight at 900. I try to keep my calorie intake at about 600 a day. Depending on how active you are, 1400 calories may not be completely accurate for your goal. Keep me posted! Ames ____ " Pretty pretty please.. if you ever ever feel.. like you're nothing.. you're f*cking perfect, to me.. " Exercise equipment for LP's Hello all, On my attempt to lose at least 10 pounds by September, I went searching for a hand cycle, something docs in the past have mentioned to me. I found and ordered one that also has different levels of resistance. I just hope my arms are not too short, but it's a risk I took. While on the site, I nearly fell over as I saw equipment for children young as 5! It is expensive and I don't know if my legs would reach, but I was shocked to see it does exist! I found it at fitnesszone.com, also where I bought my hand cycle from. I pray the hand cycle will work though, it will be an awesome way to do cardio that will avoid my legs, as walking now with another bad leg is hard enough. With eating I am also going from eating once or twice a day to around four times a day. Need to kick start the metabolism. I also went to the gov. site for the food pyramid. It's great because you can enter what you eat in a day and see what you are lacking or ate too much of. Of course I had to lie about my height, so it wouldn't think I'm an " on my death bed obese " two year old (if I said I'm 3'3). I am happy thought because I was able to get my calories to 1,400 which is great. Let me tell you, eating once or twice a day maybe getting 500 or 600 calories daily is definitely not healthy. You'd think eating would not be rocket science, but obviously it is, if I've gained weight. Just trying to find the right combo of calories and safe exercise! -
Guest guest
Hi Ames and all, Oh definitely! Wish me luck, I hope it won't be a problem and works great! The cheapest one I saw was $25.00 but the issue is there is no resistance, so something to think about if that's an important quality or not if you purchase one. I honestly don't know what my calorie intake should be, I know definitely not 2,000, nor do I feel I should even go above 1,500. I'm really trying to feel it out, so I'm sure it will take me a bit. I can tell you that how I used to eat before and what I ate did not work as I gained about 15 pounds. I can say today's meal for example, if I minus the two girl scout cookies lol, had not much fat. I'm really just trying to find a balance of not eating just once or twice a day, boosting the metabolism, and getting the right amount of fiber and protein while lowering the fat. I'm also trying to up the veggie and fruit intake big time. I'm hoping somehow this combo will lead to pound shedding. If the hand cycle works, I can combine it with my change of eating and together see how I'm doing. Now, to go out and by the necessary evil...the scale. I've avoided owning one at all cost, just judging if my clothes fit or not lol. - ________________________________ From: Ames <Ames629@...> dwarfism ; Oakcreek Girl <oakcreek_girl@...> Sent: Thu, April 14, 2011 9:25:40 PM Subject: Re: Exercise equipment for LP's  - thanks for posting the site.
