Guest guest
Hi everyone, I was recently tentatively diagnosed by my local ENT with a cholesteatoma in my left ear. I am going for a CAT scan in two weeks to confirm. My ENT doesn't handle cholesteatomas and told me I would have to see an ENT who specializes in this type of surgery. I have already had 2 surgeries in my left ear (both tympanoplasties). My question is... who is the top doctor in the mid-atlantic (DC/VA/MD/PA/NJ etc) for cholesteatoma surgeries? I am only 1.5 hours from s Hopkins or University of Pennsylvania so those are my top two academic hospitals. Has anyone had experience with surgeons at these hospitals? I really want this to be taken care of correctly and completely to avoid any more surgeries and try to preserve my haering. I am sure many of you have been through this, so any advice is appreciated.
