Guest guest
I would very much like to try this juice. But just a couple of questions. Have you tried this? Also what is a saran wrap? Can a mulin cloth do the trick. Jessie Alan & worth wrote: > From: Alan & worth <charlesworth@...> > > Here is a recipe for cultured cabbage juice > from HYDROGEN PEROXIDE THERAPY by > Conrad LeBeau. I have heard this, but your can always get the double capsulated so that it opens in the intestines. Even if some of it is destroyed, I have seen the benefits of acidophilus and there is enormous documentation of the benefits of it. I just would not use the yogurt that they sell in the grocery store for an active culture. Last year I had one batch after another of this cultured cabbage juice going for about 3 months! I like the taste and i enjoyed making it. I do not know if it actually DOES purify the G.I. tract and kill most strains of fungi, parasites and other pathogens. The last 3 weeks I have been making this cabbage juice again. " Saran " wrap is just plastic wrap sold on a roll. " Saran " was the brand name of the first type of plastic wrap that came on the market years ago here is the USA. I think muslin cloth would " breathe " too much - you want the mixture to 'ferment' without alot of air getting in I think.

I do not know if it actually DOES purify the G.I. tract and kill most strains of fungi, parasites and other pathogens, as is claimed, but I have not heard this claimed for acidophilus. In fact I have heard that most of the acidoplilus dos not even reach the colon as it gets destroyed in the stomach. Anyone?

Guest guest
The first thing I would note is: he said let it sit in a covered jar. Not to add probiotic caps. When you add the capsules, you changed the mix ... which could be for the better. Or not. Cabbage probably doesn't actually need salt or vinegar in general, because it is loaded with natural nitrates. My guess is that if it had actually spoiled, it would smell pretty bad. Which leaves the question: why did it hurt your stomach? I don't know your stomach, personally, so it's hard to say. :-) Raw cabbage gives me heartburn: so does raw onion and raw garlic, sometimes quite painfully. Cooked or salted versions of those though, are fine. And I eat raw garlic in a fresh sauce of garlic/hot sauce/soy/vinegar/honey practically every day, and that is fine too. So I don't know exactly what it is about the plain, raw versions, but they certainly don't work for me! If it was a dysbiosis issue though (i.e. " it went bad " ) then I'd expect vomiting, diarrhea. Plain ol' stomach pain is probably something more like GERD (hearburn, acid reflux). Which would indicate that it is causing your stomach sphincter to loosen, for unknown reasons (some foods do that to some people). If this latter is the case, then it might be possible that salt or vinegar will help, which is my experience with raw cabbage and garlic.
