Guest guest
You need to see an ENT even if you have to pay out of pocket. If left untreated this thing can cause severe complications and even be fatal. I thought the health care reform act removed pre-existing condition exclusions. > > > ** > > > > > > Hi, I was diagnosed with this about 8yrs ago and at that time was going to > > have a surgery. Guest guest
I just wanted to add to what others have said, I had cholesteatoma which was not diagnosed and resulted in a brain abscess. I was rushed into hospital as an emergency and was not expected to survive, I have neurosurgeons and my ENT consultant to thank that I not only survived but have not had any resulting brain damage. I did have to spend almost two months in hospital, however. This illustrates what can happen, it's not worth leaving it! Sue
