Guest guest
Shari, How they decide on the perfect person is a puzzle I have never been able to understand. But, there is something better waiting for you. Obviously you were not recognized for the talents you would bring to the table. There is another table just dying to have you and thank God this one did not hold you back from the blessing to come. May not make sense at the moment, but it's out of your control. You are greater than they were able to see. Hang in. Hugs, carolgSV <shavig@...> wrote: Well, it's official. I did not get my "perfect" job. poop. Shari Access over 1 million songs - Music Unlimited. Guest guest
Well, it's official. I did not get my "perfect" job. poop. Then it wasn't your "perfect" job. I have found that if I belong somewhere I am put there without much effort on my part. If they rejected you it was probably a blessing in disguise. The Universe never makes a mistake. Something much better for you on the horizon. Gloria

Guest guest
Thanks Gloria and while I know in my head what you said is true. My heart has a hard time believing. I was so looking forward to working with the little kids and especially at this school with 75% English as Second Language kids. This is a very eclectic neighborhood and I just love those settings. You never know what will happen down the road and you don't want to block the good things that may very well be coming your way. Stay open and EXPECT something better. Guest guest
Thanks . It just stings pretty badly. But you know what they say, if you want to make God laugh - tell him your plans! Shari
Guest guest
Shari, So sorry again, and it sounds like a job you would have loved. I know what it is like to work in an environment where you are not wanted, so I can speak from a knowledge base here, it's best to be where people just love wanting you there on the team. Have you tried craigslist? My two friends got jobs that way and one because of me letting her know. The person forgot to say "thank you" to me. Those two words dented our relationship which she is not aware of and I choose to not to discuss with her. Choices! Hang in hun. Your best days are still ahead. hugs, carolgMorningGlory113@... wrote: I was so looking forward to working with the little kids and especially at this school with 75% English as Second Language kids. Guest guest
Thanks Carol, but school districts do not advertise on Craigslist. I'm pretty much set in my mind I want to work a district. Good benefits, good days off and I like the kids and the hours. Shari
Guest guest
Actually Shari I found a job last week that was on craigslist for a local school district. It is a great job too if I can get it. You are probably right in thinking it doesn't go to craigslist, however, don't discount any blessing from wherever it comes. Best to you. carolg SV <shavig@...> wrote: Thanks Carol, but school districts do not advertise on Craigslist. I'm pretty much set in my mind I want to work a district. I prayed on it, and suggested in my prayers that it would really be keen if I could get a job just up the hill from my home which was a one girl office. I decided if nothing happened in a couple of weeks,I would start looking. I had gotten acquainted with the current lady there and like I told God, I didn't want to take anyone elses job, but I just left it His hands. A couple of weeks later I was having lunch in the locale barbq place and the lady from the office was there working. I ask her what on earth was she doing there and she said she was quiting her job to work with her husband who owned the barbeQ and did I want her job at the office!!! could have knocked me down with a feather! She assured me was serious. I gave her a few days, however, putting my application in but telling the boss that it was only if the lady didnt change her mind. Worked there over 15 yrs before retiring. Like some of our friends on this group say, God always opens another door when one is closed. love, GrannyLee. Guest guest
So glad to hear you're doing so well, Alana, and increasing your hours! Yay! I just increased my hours at Abilicorp so I am available 15 hours/week in the office and by appointment. I'm still with the City at 28.5 hours/wk; and handling it fairly well. Joe and I have been focusing on a healthier diet, which helps a great deal in keeping high energy through my long weeks. I second Alana's encouragement to submit your resumes to Abilicorp. In fact, please do send them directly to me and (if I don't know you well) please mention the list. I'll be sure to give it priority. I can be reached for Abilicorp-related questions, comments, and resumes at: kendra.scalia@... [kendra.scalia (at) abilicorp.com]. <3Kendra > > So, I've been at Abilicorp since March 2nd and things are going pretty well. There have been a couple of volatile personnel changes and we're all working pretty hard on trying to define each of our roles and be clear about the company's priorities and goals; par for the course of a startup. I'm still amazed that I got a job in this economy, and that it's in the private sector with decent pay. > > My health is better than I expected, so I'm about to increase my hours. I haven't had a UTI since my hospitalization in December. That's the longest I've gone since February '03! It's been great for both my physical and mental health to have a schedule outside of the house that's not too rigorous. I'm off all medications, including anti-inflammatories and the anti-depressant. Just birth control. I suspect my good diet is helping with that. I'm even making my own organic yogurt now! Woot! > > I am hopeful that Kendra and (when she gets back) will soon be able to post jobs for you all to apply to in states across the country. In the meantime, add your resume to our database at www.abilicorp.com. They're not just tech jobs.
