Guest guest
Thanks Guys! It's been a long road - let me tell you. I have been on the preop list and watching all of you for over 7 years now. I did not make the choice lightly. It took a long time of learning from y'all to make the jump, and I will say here & now that you guys are the best resource a person can have and are all very generous with your time as I hope to be. As for a little info - I am from NY (Long Island) - my high around Thanksgiving was 285 - but I stressed myself so the week before surgery that I didn't eat much & was 273 day of surgery. Why can't I do that on my own permanenetly. eh! BG Dr. R did a 7 ft bypass. I felt great after surgery, walked & walked like the nurses told me to. Yesterday am - I felt like a truck hit me. A little naseous and dizzy. Dr. R fixed me right up with a drug cocktail nap and I woke up like a new woman. Released by 6pm - and had a good nights sleep here in hotel. I feel great this morning so far. Not hungry at all - forcing myself to sip, sip, sip my gatorade, chicken soup & yogurt. But so far all is well. My calves are a little tingly, but I am attributing it to the TED stocking he wants us to keep on with just a few breaks in between. I shall be looking for more advice I am sure, so thank you for the warm welcome. Sue G in NY 285 Hi/273 Day of/ 130 Goal 7ft Bypass Re: Welcome Sue G. Welcome to the other side Sue.
