HI Kathy G.

thanks for sending me the papers re. your husband's approval. I'm a little

scared because they mentioned not covering the mgb any more. I guess all I can

do is try. Thanks so much, I'll keep you posted. barb dudley

Hi Barb:

I'm glad you got the papers. I have been so busy. I meant to follow up with

a call or e-mail to let you know they were sent.

After I sent it to you, the same day we got another statement from Cigna.

Denying my husbands surgery that they have already paid us for. I am totally

going to ignore it...bizarre.

I hope they don't try to get the money back...can they? I wouldn't give it

to them, but it would be alot of aggravation.

Keep me posted....

I found a great protein bar at Walmart the other day, it's called Pure

Protein, 170 calories, 20 g of protein, no sugar and no trans fat.

They taste good, in fact a co-worker tried some and liked it. A box of

6 will cost around $5.50. If allergic to nuts then stay away, it does

have some peanut product. TTFN

Hi ,

Thanks for the info. I also found a Pure Protein shake at Trader Joe's

that has 35 grams of protein in each shake. I really like both the

chocolate and vanilla. Just FYI.

Well let's see, looking at the nutrition facts panel, it has 15g protein (good), <15g sugar (good--per AACE/ASMBS guidelines), 2g fiber (ok), 6g fat (we suggest <5), no sugar alcohols listed (good). Some pts like the taste, some don't. Some may find it kind of chewy and hard to "get down." Check the forum discussions on obesityhelp.com for pt reviews of other products.

Hope this helps
