Gelfoam - clogged ear, jaw/swallowing issues - feels like GIANT growth!

I am only 3 weeks post-op. I had my second Cholesteatoma removed early October.

As my initial one was excised 1998, I forgot what it feels like afterward. Any

comments/help is appreciated!

Is it normal to feel like there is a GIANT growth in my ear? It hurts. I cannot

tell if I did something to alter my new tympanoplasty graft, or ALL THE SNEEZING

I have done has swelled my ear. Allergies S - - K!

I hate not knowing what is going on in there, it is ALL so stressful. I hate

being sick!

How long does the blood (slight) and brownish/yellow gunk keep coming out? I

still have a cotton ball in, following my 4 Ciprodex (?) drops 2X/day. When I

remove the cotton I see this discharge. I suppose I should contact my Surgeon

and ask if this is still okay - it has been 23 days since surgery. I also don't

recall when he said to stop w/cotton; I know drops are another week.

Sorry if I sound super whiny - it isn't fun being sick 13 years! Enough is

enough w/this ear crap.
