Guest guest
Robyn - yes, this does help and makes sense. I was just reading about the HIB vax and that there are other types of menigitis. From what I jsut read, viral is the most common with no vax yet. I was looking on my papers that I need to have filled out and sent in. The only question on there is are vaccinations current. I am still unsure if this will keep us from being cleared but I am going to try to put it through the ay things are now and not go forth with the vacsines until I feel more confident in my decisions.....if it comes back that he needs them to be cleared then I will have to make my decision maybe before I feel omfortable with it. Love, Beth Re: new to group > However, my big question is WHY did these diseases kill so many people > yet it seems no one on here says we should fear these diseases. Most of the diseases the world vaccinates for today are NOT the killers of yesteryear. Measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox, tetanus - none of these routinely killed children. The chicken pox vaccine was developed because someone figured out that the US lost about one billion dollars in lost productivity per year when working moms had to take time off work to take care of their sick children. It wasn't about the disease killing people. The vaccine was rushed through trials, and the lifelong immunity it was thought to transmit was completely bogus. We all found that out when the high school and college kids were getting chicken pox. Since the vax was introduced, there have been 3 boosters added to the schedule. Hepatitis B is a sexually transmitted disease. In 1996, the year the US started the Hep B vax in babies, there were 54 cses of Hep B in children under age 5. There were over 17,000 reports of moderate to severe adverse effects to VAERS. Hepatitis A is comparable to the flu, and rarely causes complications in anyone. Speaking of the flu, I concede that influenza can kill. However, the flu vaccine is a " best guess " and there has been plenty of press about how the vax didn't protect against the strains that are out there now. Diphtheria was once a threat. It's major cause is living in close quarters, without access to clean water. It's big in Russia, but not found in other Western countries. If you read the DTaP vaccine inserts, you will find that there are very few cases per year in the US. I believe one of the inserts estimated 5 cases in one year. This leaves pneumonia, Hib (a type of meningitis), and polio. Polio has been discussed in-depth here recently. The pneumonia vaccine, like the flu vaccine, is a best guess. The Hib vaccine appears to work, but cases of other types of meningitis are on the rise. We're trading one disease for another. The single most important " invention " in medicine was the washing of hands. That, combined with sterilization of instruments and items used with sick individuals, has saved more lives than we realize. And, think about all the other killers for which there are no vaccines, but we're not seeing anymore: the plague, scarlet fever, cholera, tuberculosis (technically there is a vax, but even pro-vaxers admit it doesn't work), and so on. I hope this helps! ~Robyn Beth Jacomet wrote: > > Recent Activity > > * > 27 > New Members > <http://groups. / group/Vaccinatio ns/members; _ylc=X3oDMTJkb25 zNGVtBF9TAzk3MzU 5NzE0BGdycElkAzE 1NjU3BGdycHNwSWQ DMTcwNTEyNjE3MQR zZWMDdnRsBHNsawN 2bWJycwRzdGltZQM xMjA1NTM0MDQ1> > > Visit Your Group > <http://groups. / group/Vaccinatio ns;_ylc=X3oDMTJj cWtqNnU5BF9TAzk3 MzU5NzE0BGdycElk AzE1NjU3BGdycHNw SWQDMTcwNTEyNjE3 MQRzZWMDdnRsBHNs awN2Z2hwBHN0aW1l AzEyMDU1MzQwNDU-> > > Health > > Achy Joint? > <http://us.ard. / SIG=13r4d561o/ M=493064. 12016303. 12582636. 9706571/D= grphealth/ S=1705126171: NC/Y=/ EXP=1205541245/ L=/B=NWiDBULaX. Guest guest
Mavis - thanks for the advice. I am not the one who answers the question though. I have to have it filled out by our doctor. However, he really is p to date besides the MMR and his last Polio. I have learned alot of the info regarding some of the disease (although still alot I hve not learned) but I honeslty feel like the vacines are not for my family or kids. However, there are some I still am researhing to make sure I feel 110% comfortable with my decision to stop vaccines all together. I am still learning so much. It can be overwhelming and confusing but I am plugging away at it. Thanks for your help. I am learning so much!!!!! I am very intersted in Shari's classes....depending on how involved they are and how much time I have to so them. I wish my hubby would do it so he could learn this stuff too!!!!! Love, Beth Re: new to group Hi again Beth, I think it would be very wise of you to simply answer " YES " to their question about whether vaccines are current. That would really be the truth because they are current according to your decision at the moment. If they do not ask for the records, then I would hope that you will be okay here. I know that they cannot make you get them just to travel. Good luck with your noble attempt to delay them until you can do the research that you want to do in order to make a more educated decision. It would be important for you to know your rights so that you can stand up for what you really want. blessings, Mavis ***Are Vaccines Safe?*** _VACCINE RISK AWARENESS NETWORK - " PERSONAL STORY LINKS " _ (http://www.vran. org/links/ story-links. htm) _The Great HPV Vaccine Hoax Exposed_ (http://www.newstarg et.com/Report_ HPV_Vaccine_ 0.html) _Vaccination Information & Choice Network - _ (http://www.nccn. net/~wwithin/ vaccine.htm) _Vaccination Liberation Home Page_ (http://www.vaclib. org/index. htm) _ThinkTwice Global Vaccine Institute: Avoid Vaccine Reactions_ (http://thinktwice. com/) _National Vaccine Information Center_ (http://909shot. com/) In a message dated 3/15/2008 10:50:37 A.M. Guest guest
Robyn - thanks for this email. It got sent to my spam folder adn I never read it. I am glad I found it along wth alot of other ones. I had over 35 emails in my spam and several of them were from me...the rest from others posting on various topics!!!! Thanks for the link to your website. I will check it out. I have been trying to spend as much time looking through Sheri's info here but it is difficult to find the time to do it with the two little ones But, I must make time to do it so I can get as much info as possible. I wanted to ask 2 things...first, breastfeeding seems to be a BIGGIE here as far as building immune systems. I can not breastfeed, so should this pose a greater threat to my kids if I do not vax? I feel like they are missing out on alot of the good stuff and then by not giving the vaxs, they are more vulnerable. Also, I will be moving overseas. Now, I am not too worried about getting a disease where we will be going as it is pretty clean (although it is in Asia). However, I feel like my hubby's job may make us. Do you or anyone else have any info about this? He works for the govt. and we have to be cleared to go over......I will know more in a couple of weeks but I would like to get my " ducks in a row " incase they put up a fight...I need to know my legal rights. It is pretty scary to think they can take your kids away....although this may be rare...I will not take that chance..... Thanks again for the info...sorry I just now got the message....I will know to also look in my spam folder...lol Much Love, Beth Re: New to group > > Hi Beth, > I am a mother of 5 unvaccinated children ages 22-3 and so have a lot of > years under my belt here. Guest guest
Beth, Vaccines are not a substitute for breastmilk. They don't work anyway so don't worry about it. You'll do just fine by your children if you feed them right. I would suggest that by not having breastfed, you pose a greater risk by giving them vaccines. They don't have the protection that even that would give. Remember vaccines do not give immunity, only inject chronic illness. Question - why do people think vaccines give immunity? Guest guest
Sheri, Breastfeeding is not an option for all people. We need to remember this, and remember that we are all doing what we feel is best for each one of our individual children. Breastfeeding is not a panacea. ~Robyn Sheri Nakken wrote: > > At 08:47 PM 3/19/2008, you wrote: > >Robyn - thanks for this email. It got sent to my spam folder adn I > >never read it. Guest guest
I second Sheri's comment... you're not doing any favors to your child by vaccinating just because you haven't breastfed. The question here isn't whether you should/shouldn't breastfeed, it's whether you should or shouldn't vax, based on whether you breastfed, and NO vaccination is not a substitute to strengthen the immune system. Vaccines degrade the immune system by thier very nature. By the way, I can't remember if I sent you these links before... if I have, sorry for the repeat in information. If I haven't, or if you haven't really looked at them, please do. Look at the list of ingredients that are in vaccines.. these cannot possible do anything good for your child and their immunity. Every parent should be given a list of ingredients in every vaccination before they consent to their kids being jabbed, but they're not! Note that these are from the CDC's own website! http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/downloads/appendices/B/excipient-table\ -2.pdf http://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/pubs/pinkbook/downloads/appendices/B/excipient-table\ -1.pdf Another chart of vaccine ingredients: http://www.oasisadvancedwellness.com/learning/informed-vaccine.html On Thu, Mar 20, 2008 at 11:58 AM, Sheri Nakken <vaccineinfo@...> wrote: > > I would suggest that by not having breastfed, you pose a greater risk > by giving them vaccines. Guest guest
, That's the way I took Sheri's comment, too. Not as a criticism for not breastfeeding but as a way to calm the fear that without the immunity from breastfeeding, vaccinating would be more warranted. In fact, it would be riskier. Makes a lot of sense. I had a friend whose son had major health issues at birth and she was told it was very important for him to be vaccinated because of this. She took the opposite approach that he was too fragile for vaccines. He's now 18, never been vaccinated and very healthy. I wonder what he would have been like if she listened to them, perhaps not even alive. Hey , I'm all the way in Texas BUT I can tell you after surgery (had mine 4/18) I didn't necessarily need many bathroom breaks BUT I got tired (still do sometimes) a lot easier than before. It's just the healing process. I had surgery on Friday and came home Sunday night and went back to normal life on Tuesday. I SHOULD HAVE taken a few days off just to recoup. Surgery is surgery, minimally invasive as it is, and I could have used the break. However, I made it just fine, but I was soar where my incisions were/are. It's 18 days out and I'm only soar now, every now and again, at night, after a long, active day AND I have lost 17 pounds! So, good luck my band sister! You'll be GREAT! Guest guest
The DAY BEFORE!!!! YEA!!!!! I bought every flavor of Isopure and had them waiting when I got home and took one freaking drink and gave them to my best friend because I just couldn't tolerate that nasty crap without puking! However, she drank those expensive monstrosities without complaint, so you may like them as well. I DID NOT! So I was sans protein until phase two when I started on the ISOPURE CHOCOLATE (YUMMY WITH ICE, WATER & YOUR PREF OF DIVINCI FLAVORING!) & MATRIX Chocolate Peanutbutter (per Bip's strict direction). THAT HAS HELPED! I wasn't hungry FOR DAYS, but after about a week and a half, I was HUNGRY-Likie teenage boy who plays football hungry! So enjoy the quick loss. The first 14 pounds came off in the first week. The next three, have come off over the last week and a half, but I eat 1200- 1500 calories in protein and GOD HELP ME, ICE CREAM & SWEET TEA! So, until my first fill (May 31st) I'm doing it slow! Sticking to the diet though! GOOD LUCK GIRL! Guest guest
Hi ! Hang in there! I cried when they took my trial out also. When do you get your permanent on in? I have had mine in since December 2007. Just remember that the permanent one doesn't always do as well as the trial. However, it still takes some of the pain away so it is worth it. Guest guest
Welcome to the group! While I live in MN, I was in North Dakota all of last week!Svetlana Masgutova will be in the Mpls/St. in July. It may be helpful to schedule an appointment with her at that time to get you started. There are many people in Minnesota who have taken some of the Masgutova courses. There are many people in Minnesota and at least two women in North Dakota who are licensed in Brain Gym; Svetlana's roots are in Brain Gym and she is an International Faculty member of Brain Gym International. Rhythmic Movement Training (RMT) is another possibility and there are practitioners here as well. There is a conference called the MIMS Symposium October 4-5 in Elk River that will have brief introductory breakout sessions of many of these alternative, safe and very successful modalities.Feel free to email me directly for more details. Guest guest
God Bless you, Jodi, and Godspeed you on this, your new journey. This is a great group with wonderful information and input from very caring and knowledgeable people. I use Masgutova Method in less serious situations but it is extremely powerful, and I know or someone will give you more info about what you need to know. Keep your fire to learn burning, it's great you want to become a resource for your area. Joni Polehna, Stillwater, MN New to group Hi my name is Jodi Hebl. I live in Grand Forksm ND. Guest guest
Hi Jodi, I am impressed by your courage and investment in helping your child. A child's best therapist is his or her mother- every time. I am an OT, and for what it is worth, I have found the Masgutova Method one of the most helpful in my tool box. WHile you feel overwhelmed with all of the information that is out there- it is wise to build your own tool box and take different tools out at different times, according to what your gut and children tell you, and remember that you are always the first expert on your child. I wish you and Cannon all the best on this journey. He is obviously a survivor, and very lucky to have been born to you. in Maine > > Hi my name is Jodi Hebl. I live in Grand Forksm ND. Guest guest
Hi Jodi, Welcome to the group! If you'd like to contact me offline, I can tell you our experiences with ABR Canada and IAHP and what I have learned about HBOT. The Masgutova Method is a very powerful method and works well with other modalities and therapies. We have done many things in the past for my son and we have used the Masgutova Method with great benefit and have integrated it with other things we are doing. You are right that your child will benefit so much more if you can work with him at home in addition to conventional PT/OT who will only see him once a week. I would love to see you become a practitioner and develop a base of support for yourself and this work in ND. There are parents are on this list who have done just what you propose -- becoming trained in this work and are growing a base of parents and professionals in their area who use this method. I'd like to help you get started by offering suggestions on what you can do in your area. Please contact me val-freitas@... or 925-803-8574. Svetlana talks about how are children are already winners three times over right from birth and your son is also a winner at least four times over because he also has a mother like you who is positive and proactive and seeking out ways to help him and because of that his possibilities have already been increased dramatically! So, I admire and applaud you for the wonderful mother that you are! Hope to hear from you soon.

Your husband ordeal simlar to mine. I had a L- 4 5 Anterior lumbar fusion which failed to take the nerve pain away. It helped but not enough. So 6 years ago had a Medtronic stimulator put in it reduce the amount of nerve pain i have i still have stabbing shooting pain but the Stimulator changes the nerve pain signal i get a dulll acky type pain now. I am 6ft 1 and 220lb and yes there scar tissue pain from the implanted stimulator which was put in then removed and changed the wires added 3 wires which now helps me with low back and legs both If I turn stimulator up high I cant stand or walk right. and my legs jolt when adjusting signal freeks my wife out. anyway your husband welcome to post and he will have to becareful and not over due it. As long as you keep your limits the pain can be controlled it is when you over due it that cause problems which he knows nice meeeting you both mike group owner
