Guest guest
Hi, ! Since this is a newbies list combined with professionals who have been using EFT and other meridian energy psych techniques for a while now, I can well understand your frustration, . This last weekend was all about reposts and refreshers. The reason for this is that so many new people have signed u. It served as a sort of orientation. My apologies to those for whom this is waste of their time, space etc. Everyone's opinion on this list is valuable. I have heard what you do not like, . In addition, what I'd appreciate from you is specific constructive suggestions you have that you feel would improve this list. I truly seek to make it better and better every day, and let it be a forum which meets the needs of all, to the best of my ability. Awaiting your reponse to deliberately creating this weblist to serve its participants needs better. Thanks in advance! Sincerely, Dayu

You and Dayu are doing a fabulous job with that list, and those who have some conplaints to make, could speak directly to one of you. With gratitude for your work with that list. Guest guest
Re: [Tap 'n B Free] Selective Quoting (was Protocols) Dear Dayu, I can have no possible objection to the content of any communication, my only irritation is with style...... and much of the clutter on the list comes from using the server. For example, the simple style you use in your letter below makes it very readable. My message is just to keep things clear and simple! Sincerely, R. Connelly, LMHC < brc17@... > -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear , Many thanks for your reply. Thank you for clarifying that. I agree with you regarding " clutter " from using the server. I have now requested all the people on this list to " selectively quote " , which means delete : 1. any part of the mesage that is not pertinent to the reply, 2. including all ads, 3. all footers, 4. all parts of the original message which are redundant, etc. When these are repeated over and over, and the whole text of the original message carried over without reason, then it makes it very hard for those who have daily digests to read... they end up spending an infinite amount of time simply scrolling down to get to the next message, and may even give up half-way in disgust. I totally understand. That is why I have decided to request " selective quoting " from all. I must say it has been getting better as awareness of the problems and their reasons are being clarified. Another big reason is that in many countries, people are paying for internet usage by the minute/hour with slower modems (than cable or DSL, which can be on 24 hours a day) - at 56 kbps or even 28 kbps and in some cases 33 kbps.... so for them it is critical that it be affordable. In addition, a daily digest which has been converted to HTML can be around 56 KB or more in storages space, whereas those that are in plain text take up maybe under 10 KB. A little consideration on the part of each participant to " clear clutter " , is a true sign of teamwork and extremely valued and appreciated on our weblist. In fact, on my new list, In The Flow Research, I have kept it moderated for now, and am monitoring for selective quoting. Once that is established, I can put it on unmoderated status, as everyone will have been " trained " in the art of selective quoting by then. However, there are only 93 members on the " In The Flow Research group " to date, whereas this EFT: Tap 'n B Free weblist list has over 500. So once my experiment with the other group proves successful, I will implement the same procedure on this group, asking for help from a couple of volunteers to moderate the messages, if needed. It may only take a week or two of moderation to make sure everyone is selectively quoting, and then we can put the group back on unmoderated status again. I may or may not be able to do it alone. I am sure we can " clear clutter " - the first step in " feng shui " - or " clean up " the messages, so that only the text that is the main message remains. Perhaps Glyn, our Feng Shui expert on EFT: Tap 'n B Free, can give us some suggestions, apart from clearing clutter, on what would improve the feng shui of this weblist (if such a thing as the feng shui of a weblist exists)! I truly honor and appreciate everyone on this weblist for their awareness and cooperation. The messsages have been getting more and more succint and less and less cluttered. A BIG WHOLE-HEARTED THANK YOU TO ALL MEMBERS!!! It is a great asset that we are beginning to have this consciousness. And for this I would like to thank two people who have spearheaded this attempt, Rich Putman and Lee Lawson. Rich showed me what " a model forum " could look like, as I had not observed any such weblist/forum as yet. And he gave me concrete suggestions on how word the request for selective quoting. I am very grateful to him. Lee has always encouraged this process right from the beginning. So thanks for your suggestion, . You will be happy to know that the implementation of the " clean up " is in process, and soon (this is my vision) we shall be able to say with pride that we have 100% " selective quoting " totally free of clutter on the unmoderated EFT: Tap 'n B Free weblist!!! :-) With best regards, Dayu

" Hi Dayu, 500 members eh ? Many must be lurkers then ? Dont know of a list that has been Feng Shui'd, suffice to say, if people express their opinions and different ideas in a non inflamatory manner, then this has to contribute to positive chi. And without doubt, all the " clutter " on the weblist should be removed. As a matter of interest, are not all these various tapping methods that have been surfacing over the years simply a breakaway from Callahan's original TFT ? Curious !
