Wow, my SIL just had half of her stomach removed and is in hospital since 1/2...it was her small intestines I believe..then they found something else...can't remember...I bet for this RN that only believes in meds and animal products perhaps this could have saved her from surgery. Not sure, but no judgment. Just having wisdom is great and then using it is key. Suzy, need to have Gloria remind me of the Myrrh note here when I talk teeth to her. Thanks for sharing. If you ever have links I always love them as there may be other stuff I can or do need there. Who knows...thanks for thoughtfulness always. Suzi, maybe we can have this article placed in many sections of our group...it's great! carolg Myrrh Gum This is actually an ancient Bible remedy that is still used today. It was one of the tree gifts the wise men brought to baby Jesus! It is a valuable tonic and stimulant for bronchial and lung problems, It has antiseptic properties and is very healing. Use for coughs, asthma, bronchitis, etc. It stimulates the body to discharge mucus. Myrrh is effective as an antibiotic and a disinfectant causing the body to increase white blood cells in up to 4 times their regular number. Myrrh destroys putrefaction in the intestines and prevents blood absorption of toxins. Myrrh has a stimulating tonic effect which promotes peristalsis and stimulates gastric secretions and relaxes smooth muscles. You can brush your teeth with the powder and thoroughly rinse the mouth and gums with the tea. It can also be used as a gargle and mouthwash. This can work

well for canker sores, denture-irritated gums, and other related problems. It will help with bad breath if taken internally. For this purpose take a small tsp of powdered myrrh and one of goldenseal to a pint of boiling water. Steep for a few minutes and poor off the clear liquid. Take teaspoon size doses 5-6 times a day. It is a good ingredient to use in suppositories for hemorrhoids. It makes a good ointment (salve) when combined with equal parts goldenseal root. (It is often used this way,) Myrrh is a natural antiseptic and good for bathing sores with. It can be put in a douche for yeast or viral infections and used in insect repellent. The powder can be applied to the umbilical cord after birth to help dry it up and keep it from becoming infected. Suzi What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered.
