Guest guest
Angel, I get these pains as well from time to time, I don't think it is pancreatitis, as this is usually a severe pain with fever (a VERY serious condition). Maybe it is 'refered' pain ie you feel it in a location which is not the source. How many flushes have you done ?, have the number of stones passed reduced with the flushing ? kind regards Phil ----- Original Message ----- From: Angel <anglstar@...> <gallstonesonelist> Sent: Tuesday, 28 March 2000 15:11 Subject: Pain in left side > From: " Angel " <anglstar@...> > > I still have gallstones that bother me from time to time even though I did > many flushes. Guest guest
My best guess as to pain on the " left " side would be over-burdening of the spleen, which is what happens when the liver function has been non-optimal for awhile. Routine cleansing of the colon and daily consumption of fresh lemon juice squeezed into some kind of " good " water (not tap water), including consuming somewhere in the neighborhood of one gallon of water per day, is what I have heard recommended, along with very gentle (feet don't come off the mat) bouncing on a mini-trampoline. ----- Original Message ----- From: " Angel " <anglstar@...> <gallstonesonelist> Sent: Monday, March 27, 2000 9:11 PM Subject: Pain in left side > From: " Angel " <anglstar@...> > > I still have gallstones that bother me from time to time even though I did > many flushes. Guest guest
Dear Larry, I am on the Bragg diet. It is wonderful and I feel so well. I am doing the flushes.. but I have only done one. Passed many stones.. but not the big (golf ball size one) Right now I am trying a 10 day lemonaid fast. I am hoping that this will have the desired affect on my very large gallstone. I am wondering if you added more bulk to your diet, you might find that you won't keep making more gallstones. After we flush them out they can come back very quickly because they are only trying to keep the toxins from going into our bloodstream. You shouldn't be eating any mucus forming foods.. such as milk or dairy products. Omit meat as well. Eat more fiber. Vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, whole grains and of course water with lemon juice squeezed in. No boxed canned or devitalized foods, no sugar or white bread, rice or table salt. You can find out about the bragg diet at .. www.bragg@.... blessings from Diane On Tue, 28 Mar 2000 16:20:24 Larry McInerney wrote: >From: Larry McInerney <lmcinerney@...> > > Diane ...I'm sure I could eat better like more veggies and fruit .... Guest guest
-- I am going to try that gold coin grass.. where do I get it? Do they have it at the Health food store? Or do I have to order it? Hope you get on that Bragg diet. It has changed my life. You get a feeling of empowerment when you conquer your food addictions. I found out that I really didn't miss the meat at all.. and I love the food I eat now. I have learned to make it delicious and exciting. Even my daughters love it. The only thing that I think about on occasion.. is cheese. But I don't dwell on it and it doesn't happen often. I think I would be in perfect health if it wasn't for this darn gallstone. I am danged determined to get it out without surgery. Peace and Blessings.. Guest guest
-- I have had no pain in my gallbladder lately. I make up a big salad with lettuce, cabbage, sprouts, tomatoes, avocado, cuke, green pepper, celery, carrots, broccoli, turnip (grated), beet (grated), a tablespoon of lecithin granuals, sprinkle sun flower seeds, nuts (just a few) and raisons. Some fruit and a slice of organic sprouted whole grain bread. I spread some avocado on this and top with sliced tomatoe and sprouts and a bit of lettuce. Make this up in the morning and drink water all day long with squeezed lemon in it. When I get home I have that salad again and then I may have a baked potato with it. Just a bit of pepper is all you need on that.. and corn on the cob.. more fruit. Sometimes I have a stir fry with brown rice. Try this.. it is really good.. and if you like it I will send you more things to make and eat that are healthy and filling and also liver, gallbladder friendly. Health and good wishes.. Guest guest
Hi All, Diane's salad sounds wonderful. Please send some!!!!! I too, found it hard to get off the fat wagon when I was first diagnosed. These are some of the things I bring in to work that can be eaten at my desk. I only drink water and vegetable juice at home so I bring enough for both breakfast and lunch. I pack fruit: Apple, Banana, Pear, Grapefruit, Orange, cut up canteloupe or grapes -- usually 2 - 4 servings I keep dried Fruit in my desk: prunes, dates, raisins, figs, etc. Also, dry roasted almonds, pecans, cashews preferably not salted but if salted they should be in sea salt. Good source of " good " fats I cut up vegetables like carrots, cubed cabbage, cauliflower, cucumber. Anything that can be eaten like finger food as I'm working. If I make up a big bag on Monday it will last all week. If you have access to a fridge, you can keep " non-fat " yoghurt on hand at work. I also like to keep " low-fat " granola bars in my desk too. I have access to a toaster, so I sometimes pack a bagel or one slice of 8 grain bread. I don't usually put anything on it, just toast it, take it back to my desk and eat it. And most important, drink water all day (bottled or filtered preferably) On my lunch hour I try to walk. This is possible because I've been eating my healthy foods all morning leaving me time to get exercise. If I have a business meeting or go out with friends for lunch, I try to stick to the vegetable tray and 1/2 sandwich. I pick a sandwich that I know is healthy such as a vegetarian one. If I have a choice I make sure there is no butter or margarine on it or mayonaisse. I stay away from the dessert tray. If I took just one I know I'd be right back at all the bad things again. I really thought I would miss this stuff but I don't. And I feel so much better than I have in years. Hope this helps a bit Angel. I find it's easy to throw things in a bag in the morning if it doesn't need to be prepared. It's actually easier and quicker than making a sandwich or a vegetable salad or a fruit salad. Guest guest
It is so great to hear people praising the great taste of God's cooking. Raw salads, fruits, whole grains and nuts are quite delicious! I look forward to my meals much more than in the old days when I would fill my tummy with mushy slop such as scrambled eggs and white bread, meat, gravy and mashed potatoes.. Uck! I can visualize what it looks like going through my pipes and getting clogged up, banging into the last meal that is sloooowly making it's way through. Now I see the wonderful raw salads like little brooms cleaning everything up and the happy little digestive juices sorting through everything quickly and sending it on it's way. hehehe.... my daughter just came in and said.. " Mom.. (shaking head) your obsessed. " hehe She can't talk.. she is on the diet too, and loves it. But I am a very zealous person. I dive into things and when I do, I share it with everyone. Can't help myself. Another thing I like to make during the day, between salads, is miso soup. I don't buy the premixed stuff. I go to the Japanese store and get the miso and all the other stuff and make it from scratch. It doesn't take long and it is very good for you. Health to all..
