The bottle says " One lozenge supplies 23 mg of elemental zinc derived from zinc free-form amino acid complex and zinc gluconate. One lozenge also supplies 30 mg of vitamin c. " It is sweetened with " pure crystalline fructose " and comes in a number of flavors. Mostly we use this one because we can get it into him, not any inherent superiority of the product. Guest guest
Listmates: My granddaughter 6 through testing has copper toxicity, and needs zinc and molybdenum per Andy's advice to get the copper down. I've tried zinc picolinate and now Pic-Mins by Thorne and both give her intractable diarrhea. Has anyone a suggestion for a form of zinc that might be better? Thanks for any help. Jaquelyn Vit C/mineral IV boosts the immune system and avoids the digestive/absorption problems, done by chelation doctor www.acam.org I think The diareah may be due to excretion of copper to intestines where it can be pretty toxic. did you try starting with lower dose? Guest guest
I have a question. When I take zinc, I get very nauseated. Once I even threw up after taking it (about 15 minutes after taking it). My family doctor said it's probably because I'm not zinc deficient. There's some sort of test you can take, where they put zinc drops on your tongue. If you can taste it you're deficient and if you can't take it you're fine, or vice versa. Missy I have had the same problem with zinc before with nausea. I have heard that if you seperate minerals by themselves and test them with a small shotglass and water you will choose the one that is needed . I never tried it though. kelly >>
Guest guest
Are you taking the Zinc as a part of a vitamin? I used to get VERY nauseous and light-headed when taking vitamins on an empty stomach.
