Guest guest
Well, new to me…others may already know of it. I ran across it at Borders yesterday and glommed it up! It’s called THE RAW FOOD DETOX DIET: The Five-Step Plan for Vibrant Health and Maximum Weight Loss, by Natalia Rose. Just something from the beginning: “Why You Are Going to Love the Raw Food Detox Diet You will never count calories, fat grams, or carb grams, or measure food again You will see results even without deliberate exercise You will eat liberal amounts of rich, satisfying foods You will open the flood gates for improvements in every area of your life You will achieve fast results that will last – even improve – over a lifetime “Perfect weight and a youthful appearance are the result of clean, waste-free cells – that is, cells that are free of inorganic matter….It is only when debris or waste matter from synthetic foods and overeating get lodged in our cells that our natural birthright of homeostasis turns into illness and excess weight….The application of even a few of the principles based on this equation [waste=weight] will trigger your body to lose weight and feel younger as early as the very first night, with marked results in just one week….Waste matter in the body is the fundamental source of the excess weight in your body.” She then goes on to give a list of transition foods, the primary role of which are to take the place of the foods you eliminate from your diet at the initial stage. She says, for many, “these transition foods will be your staple foods for decades to come.” “Remember that natural foods are recognizable by the body and can be broken down, whereas unnatural substances cannot be broken down and will actually contribute to the slowing of your metabolism, degeneration of your organs, weight gain, and premature aging….This simple point is extremely empowering. It means you’ll never again have to look at anything other than the ingredients in a produce to know whether or not it is good for your body.” She gives a quiz to tell you a gauge of how to adapt the Raw Food Detox Diet steps in the first month and how you’ll progress over time. It is by no means a “must-do” 100% raw diet, but begins to incorporate more and more raw foods, in the proper combinations, into your diet. Then goes on to give menus for each quiz level and recipes. It’s very flexible, depending on what you weigh and what you are eating now. I love this book! ISBN is 0-06-079991-9 and cost is $15.95 at Borders. Guest guest
I liked it but the rind was far too sharp for me. I like with more juice and less rind. But very, very good in my hot summers. Guest guest
Yes, I put a whole lemon in the blender with a bunch of other stuff. I could drink about 1/2 of the concoction before the rind was too sharp tasting. Gayla Always Enough RanchAcampo, Californiahttp://bouncinghoofs.com/alwaysenough.htmlBill Barnhill is our Inspiration! I think I’ll just juice the lemon (in a citrus juicer, so no rind) since I don’t usually have access to organic lemons. Organic oranges and grapefruits, yes, since they grow in my own yard (mangoes, too, soon!), but I don’t have a lemon tree…yet.<G> Sharyn
Guest guest
A blender? It’s supposed to be made in a juicer, not a blender. I imagine a blender would give it a whole different taste and texture. Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of Gayla Yes, I put a whole lemon in the blender with a bunch of other stuff.
