Guest guest
Which brings us to another good rule of thumb to follow with email: if the bottom of the email says " pass this along to everyone you know " then you probably shouldn't. Even if the email seems well-intentioned, it is still a chain letter and therefore spam. Everyone has done it at least once, so don't feel bad. But now you know. Guest guest
Hello all, The snopes is correct, they will throw it out, thanks to the white powder nuts out there. If you would like to send a Christmas/Holiday card to soldiers currently overseas, please visit: www.anysoldier.com then click on where to send. THIS IS LEGITIMATE! I have sent over 30 packages and many cards over the past four years through this group, I have also gotten many cards, pictures, and letters back from service members! The site is free, all you do is click the where to send section, then click on any of the names (next to the names, N-navy, M-Marines, A-Army, F-Airforce, C-coast guard), look through what they want or if they're story or pictures touch you, click at the top request the full address and it will be e-mailed to you. You are not obligated to send any packages or even if you get their addy and you forget, it's okay. It's totally up to you to send it, no one will check if you did or not, your e-mail addy is the only thing they ask. It is great because you can click on any of the names and get their perspective on what's going on over there and some have really great pics on there! I always sent around 20 Christmas cards every Christmas and included a little note about me and a picture just to give a face behind the name. This organization rocks, I've been firmiliar with it for over 5 years and have seen it grown! The men and women really do appreciate it! Any questions, please get back to me. Also, to make this dwarf related, lol, my cousin (23) will be serving his second tour of duty in Iraq in January for 14 months Get the cards and packages out there ASAP to make it for Christmas - From: justus88 <justus88@...> Subject: Re: When you send your Christmas cards dwarfism Date: Saturday, November 22, 2008, 8:44 AM Judy & Bill: Thanks for the awareness. Guest guest
I cannot BELIEVE this! What has this world come to that we have to even double and quadruple check these folk who tell us they are helping us send cards to servicemembers, for Pete's sake. UGH!!!
