Guest guest
Hi " matthewc " , I would give the " Find an ENT " database at: http://www.entnet.org/ a try. You could specify a state (VA) and then a specialty. If I were you I'd consider a neurotologist, and neurotology is a specialty that you can pick out of the database. Neurotologists are ear doctors that also specialize in the nerve pathways that run through the ear. That's just my opinion though and you may find an otologist with tons of experience operating on cholesteatoma patients. All the best on making a choice. My search came up with these folks in VA (some have multiple offices): H. Coelho, MD Richmond, VA 23298-5026 Theodore W Fetter, MD Vienna, VA 22180-4661 Bradley W Kesser, MD Charlottesville, VA 22908-0713 Jeffery J Kuhn, MD Virginia Beach, VA 23451-3669 Jeffery J Kuhn, MD Portsmouth, VA 23708-2197 Pierre T , MD Newport News, VA 23606-4250 C. Mason, MD Charlottesville, VA 22902-4852 Moody , MD Norfolk, VA 23507-1904 L Rigby, MD Richmond, VA 23226-1934 Wayne T. Shaia, MD Richmond, VA 23233-2012 Barry Strasnick, MD Norfolk, VA 23507-1904 Barry Strasnick, MD Virginia Beach, VA 23452-6263 You'll get additional information on the doctors once in the database and some provide links to their practice's web site. Guest guest
, I live in VA, just west of DC and was referred to a surgeon, whom I still see, that is at s Hopkins in Baltimore, MD. I had my surgery for first, and only (knock on wood), back in April 2007. No reoccurence, and am now doing follow-up visits every 6 months now. My last visit last week went well, as I've been following up every 3-4 months after the first year. Here is a link to his profile at JHU: http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/otolaryngology/our_team/faculty/holliday.html -Nate From: matthewc <msclick1281@...>cholesteatoma Sent: Mon, January 3, 2011 2:34:24 PMSubject: i need a great surgeon Does anyone know of any ear only surgeons in va or in a state close by? Guest guest
First I had a huge ctoma in my left ear. It was removed and left a very big opening. I now have a ctoma in my right ear. The ENT that did my original surgery did not want to re-enter my left ear because it was to risky and could make me permantley dizzy. Now that I have a CToma in my right ear they want to try to improve the hearing in my left ear. My original ENT says that Dr. Hashasaki is the best in the state but he isnt doing my surgery. His one year resident is under his guidance. > > > > > > > Does anyone know of any ear only surgeons in va or in a state close by? My > > ENT says I need someone who only does ears.
