That is such a great idea! I think you picked a good topic. I get that problem

alot.

 

Another is people that don't think you can speak for yourself. Like a

waitress..they will ask the person you are with.

Hello List,

Tomorrow I am meeting with the producers of the show to discuss some

possible scenarios involving LP's being discriminated against in public and

to see if people would actually stick up for them when it was happening.

The idea I'm going to be pushing for the most is when LPs are standing in

line to be waited on and some average height person cuts in front of them,

and the employee actually takes that customer first. In my experience....

it depends on what type of mood I'm in to as how I respond. Most of the

time, if I have time I'm just like " whatever " don't want to cause a huge

scene, give the person the benefit of the doubt... maybe they really didn't

notice me. Funny because they seem to notice us everywhere else.

This will be a great opportunity to help educate the public again of issues

we face every day. I really want them to do a scenario about LPs but I

really have to sell them tomorrow on the idea. I need a few more good

scenarios to discuss with them. So, if any of you have watched the show

and thought of some, please share your thoughts with the list and I'll bring

them forward tomorrow.

Hello Casey and Group!

I have been in both of those situations, also the situation with people

taking pics and videos of me while I wasn't looking. My wife will not tell

me until after the situation because she doesn't want me to react the way

even I know i would. It makes it harder to teach our children that they're

like everyone else when you have people pointing out to the world how

different everyone is. But other than that I might have one that not

everyone else has dealt with, I work in an OIL REFINERY!! I work in

chemicals that are immediately dangerous to my health and also the health of

my family if I wear the chemicals home on my clothing. ( Benzene, Tolulene,

Asbestos, Anyway I can't think of them all at this moment but I do know that

there are many, Many, MANY, Carcinogens, Which require me to wear fresh air

or SCBA packs. The Company that I'm starting with right now has giving me

uniforms, (More Than I thought I would need!) Coveralls, Pretty much

everything I need to perform this Job safely without taking home chemicals

that would make my family ill! But, the company that I was with until a few

months ago would not even get me uniforms that could be laundered through

the company that they rent the uniforms from! They gave me a couple pairs of

thin coveralls and said that should do me.......What.....Are you

serious?????......What in the #~(( are you thinking?.........I worked there

over 18 months Everyone else I hired in with had uniforms in 60

DAYS........They BRAGGED to everyone saying that a man half the size of

anyone working in the plant is working harder, producing twice more results

than anyone is in the plant and they won't get uniforms for me because they

have to be purchased because of alterations! I was taking home chemicals

that cause CANCER!! I tried Arguing with them for over a year and nothing so

eventually I had to do what was best for my family. Thank you God for giving

me the job with the new company. Now all I need is hours! ;-)
