Guest guest
I am an Achon and about 2 months ago I experienced some MAJOR lower back pain. I don't know what I did; it was a beautiful morning and I was sitting on the front porch enjoying the paper and some coffee, and when I went to stand up, the muscles in my back just--tweaked--well, I don't know how to explain it, but it took me 10 minutes to crawl back into the house and the front door was only about 20 feet away. Since then, the doctor has had me on Vicoden, Alleve and oral steroids, I've been seeing the chiropractor ( I won't let him " crack " me) and I've been doing physical therapy twice a week. PT and the chiropractor both say that my left pelvis is " rocked back " and the right side is normal. The MRI I had showed nothing wrong except the usual age related stenosis, according to the doctor, and I just went to a pain management doctor yesterday who suggested I get the Cortisone steroids injected directly into my spine. This makes me nervous, primarily because I've always been told that Achons shouldn't have spinal taps or the like because of potential future back problems. Has anyone out there had muscular back problems and found any solution? I welcome any and all information I can get. Thanks! Karel
