Guest guest
As some of you may know, Jack and I are in the process of adopting two boys from Ghana, Africa--ages 12 and 14--and just received word from the consular's office that their visa appointment will not be until August 15. Considering Jack has already been with the boys in Africa for 2 months, this would put us at an additional 2 months--and school starts in Texas 2 weeks later. I've been told by the seasoned adoptive parents that the key to expediting the last piece of the puzzle--the visa process (which is on the US side, not the Ghana)is enlisting the supportive of your US senators and/or representatives. I've scoured the web for examples of requests to the legislators on this subject but have been unsuccessful. I know that each senator has an official form on which to make the request, but supplemental information is needed. Does anyone have a prototype that I could borrow so I have a " starting " point. I would be most appreciative, as would (14)--who asks me every day to " do something " --and (12). Additionally, Jack would be forever grateful--they all want to come home. Thanks so much...
